👍 Didn t eat within the hotel, cannotment on food. I only wanted a cheap hotel for two night and for the price that I paid it was adequate. Breakfast was nice with good selection. Entrance, bar and dining living space looked nice although only passed through. The hotel is well located for Babbbe and St. Marychurch. It was very cheap for a twin room. The employees were pleasant. The cleaning lady was helpful. It is close to the Babbbe Bay Cafe where an excellent morning meal or lunch awaits you. Or Angels tea room. Or indeed anywhere else. Good location, ample parking. Very friendly employees and nice and clean . Would stay again Location was great with good bus service, but the employees were arrogant and their card reader didn t work and was told we had to go and withdraw money.t all the employees were arrogant just the bar staff. Room was basic and tired, stains on the ceiling, wrinkled carpet, broken lampshade, ufortable mattress. There is a bad smell from the restaurant to reception to the car park. The bar area has been decorated, The rest is in need of investment Can t say I have a memory of anything. My third stay. New decor and paint, but still a little rundown. However, good value for cash for such a grand hotel - and only Five-mins walk to the cliffs! Lots of nearby pubs and places to eat too, Close to babbe downs which was nice. Close to coastes. It suited our purposes just fine. Good location. Good location and cheap. Nice staff. thing thing That it was a cheap deal So central. Reasonably priced. Lovely staff. Big living space with a nice view. Would rmend. We ll be back! The employees were pleasant and friendly. The living space was very spacious and the scenery nearby were lovely. Location wise it was perfect. Torquay harbour and the Babbbe coast and scenery were very easy to reach if you love walking. It is a quiet part of the city adn all you could have heard were birds singing :- . The employees was very helpful and nice to talk to. thing the hotel was a disappointment not child friendly at all and for hotel to expect all ages of people that is not acceptable and should not be aloud so I would not rmend any family to stay here The morning meal was nothing to like., the evening meal was even worst The location was ok. The bar prices were very reasonable. The area and location wasn’t too bad Location Great budget hotel. The employees were very pleasant and amodating extreamly Josh who emailed me and kept me informed before I turned up. The morning meal was adequate and the standard of the living space was more than acceptable.Unfortunately my partner and I had to return to London early but we will definitely stay there again. Thank you all for the pleasant stay Bar 1. Location was good.2.Value for money. Location was excellent, close to sea front and coastal path, pubs and restaurants. Room was a good size, light and bright with pleasant views. Garden was attractive. Small living space for a double size water in bathrooms too little Staff were nice Unfortunately I can t say I liked anything about this hotel. Even for a budget hotel this is well below par! It should be rated a 1 star if that! The location It is placed in a good location. It was a cute set up with evening entertainment and everyoneing together for it . thing Bedfy. Staff friendly

👎 I had noplaints. Check in was quick when I arrived. Bathroom was very small!Receptionist was rude, beds not toofortable. It is a case of you get what you pay for. So, if you like to make your way through a cloud of cigarette smoke on entry and exit; if you like dusty rooms and stained bathroom floors with no mats; if thin walls, lying on antique foam filled pillows while noise through thin walls keeps you awake is what you’re after; and if you want to pay too much for mediocre breakfast, then great, this is the place for you! Bathroom was a disgrace. hand towels, 1 bath towel between 2 of us. Toilet was disgusting, seat was broken and urine and pubic hair evident. Asked them to sort it, they didn t clean it at all ! Reported broken glass and a used tissue behind the bedside cabinet, the high of which was filthy, they removed debris but failed to clean the top. If you are looking for a bacteria friendly habitat then book. In the first night only 2 tea bags left in room. Do not rmend food after paying almost £30 for dinner but didplain and was refunded cash without question As above and the hotel needs updating big time. The fact that I went there to get away for some problems and the anniversary of my husband s death and recently putting my dog down and was trying to recuperate from having half my removed in surgery when I got there I was greeted by certain people that I did not want to see being a a ex drug addict in recovery I bumped into some of the most prolific drug addicts in Torquay who are being put up by the council when I booked I paid extra more than double of a basic living space so I could get the most out of my stay I had a starter of soup and some salad tuna rice and Lettuce tomato etc I didn t feel well a couple of hours later I went to bed within the morning when I woke up I sat up in bed and I threw up I was sick so much it was all over the sheets and I had to run to the toilet and have diarrhoea I could not use the phone to phone reception as there was not one within the living space I had to get my on my crutches go all the way to the end of the hall open the door through another hall open another door up a set of about 18 steps through the sofa living space through the dining living space where the morning meal was making me want to be sick even more from the smell when I told reception about suspected food poisoning I felt that the response was quite defensive and was not asked any questions about my symptoms or cash off the £72 1 nite stay even though I had only had a starter and no breakfast. Could have better furnishings Very noisy. Lots of young people stayinget here. Possibly stag night. employees not all that helpfull or hosting too busyoung chatting. Reception not manned at times. Well, my mistake but i thought morning meal was included. It wasnt but the abrupt manner we were told by the bloke within the restaurant was a bit harsh ie... Theres plenty of signs everywhere. Get rid of him and the place would be perfect. He could do with a shave and a wash too!!! Handling food? Nah!! The living space was cold, the pillows and bed were poor. The cleanliness could have been better. The rooms were generally in need of a face lift. The water was not drinkable from the taps as the water was very cloudy and white. Basic amodation but cheap and cheerful. Parking is an issue on site. The shower was boiling hot and couldn’t be turned down. The bed sheets were ufortable and we

👍 The location was very convenient for my requirements and the off road parking was a bonus. A very warm wee and attention to detail was evident. The living space was beautifully furnished and spacious with all the usual facilities you would expect. There are local restaurants etc close by and nothing was too much trouble for the hosts. Breakfast was excellent and the whole package was excellent value for money. I can highly rmend. mend this lovely small guest house. Coming back yet again to this b&b was just as I expected it to be - or even better! Comfortable room, great hosts, lovely morning meal freshly cooked, and able to park my car off-road just outside. Sarah and Rick have put in endless work to refresh the decor, which is just to my taste! It was like visiting old friends, and I had a good wee! living space really nice largefy bed clean bathroom soft towels tea tray replenished daily nice toeiback from days out to find living space tidy beds made Rick and Sarah made us feel very wee would rend theBrandize The cooked morning meal was really nice The bed was veryfortable and slept very wellThe owners where very friendly and very helpful I have to say Rick the owner was extremely friendly and weed everyone by their names and asked after their day. Extremely approachable and friendly. The bed wasfy and also the host, Rick, he makes this place, he goes above and beyond Everything, so clean and hosting and the morning meal was beautiful, excellent hosts nothing was a bother, would definitely stay again Perfect location in a quiet street within walking distance of the coast and town. Lovely and friendly owners. Nice breakfast. Would definitely rmend Very nice staff. Lovely clean room. Breakfast living space in basement so hot.t a huge variety for morning meal but ok. Furniture a bit tired which is a shame because living space decor lovely bed lovely and bathroom very nice. Would rmend. Rick and Alison were lovely hosts, made us feel like we were visiting friends. They made us feel very wee and they gave us some great rmendations and tips which enhanced our stay. The living space was lovely and spacious, spotlessly clean and fresh and the bed was lovely andfortable.Breakfast was excellent and cooked exactly as requested. Nice, cozy aodation. Friendly, hosting atmosphere. Landlord always ready to assist and provide advice. Breakfast very good. Hosts were very hosting .thing to much trouble. the owners Nick and Sarah made us feel extremely wee from the start Nick even picked us up from the stop which was a lovely touch as it was a very hot day. The rooms are absolutely spotless as was all the hotel excellent choice of morning meal and within the very hot weather they even went out of their way to provide a fan for our living space Many thanks Nick and Sarah for a fantastic and very relaxing stay. Definitely be staying again .... Roy and Julie Owner Rick picked us up and dropped us to and from the train stop which was a nice touch, even bought my friends sunglasses to her which she left within the living space after checking out.thing was a problem for them, everything we asked for was provided. Great morning meal each day, living space was sofortable, stayed an extra night which was no problem for them after asking at short notice. Walking distance from coast, harbour, city centre. Had own key for front door so came and went as we wanted. Price was bril

👎 There was nothing to dislike Don t think my stay could have been improved There wasn t any we didn t like about our stay Didn t like the sink within the wall of the bedroom away from the toilet, to me not hygienic, I know it s a tight space but should be together, poor telephone and WiFi coverage at the back off the building, can be tricky if waiting on any information or searching for things to do, restaurants etc, may be worth installing a WiFi booster There wasn t anything we didn t like Later morning meal time. It was 8.30-9.30 only even on Sunday. There was quite a bit of traffic noise within the morning and evening as we had all the windows wide open to let a cooling breeze in but nightime was not much of a problem as the traffic was very light during that time. Location on main street means noise during nights when you need to have windows open. The toilet in our on-suite was a little tight for space.t good if you were on the large size. nothing Bathroom slightly small, but overall stay was excellent. thing really, But the WIFI was very in and out .. thing We were ripped by you booking. we booked double for 2 ? When we get it was double for 1 we had to pay extra cash . I m not blaming the hotel I blame booking. The morning meal was small. Towels were not very big and could have been better quality. Road was very busy and noisy. A little more choice of fresh fruit at morning meal would be great but I really can t fault anything. thing I am still awaiting for cash to go back into my account as payment was taken twice and so not sure I would book through booking. again Everything suited me, including the reasonable price. thing toplain about nothing Unable to have a proper bath as we could not fill it above 4 think the plug may need a new washer. Its taking far too long to think of any way the stay could have been better... which pretty much speaks for itself! Timing in and out speaking rudely morning meal very bad and lots otherthings really don t want to describe Wifi was a bit hit and miss and the full engish could ve been bigger portions. bar for evening drink before bed that s the only thing I can think of so really nothing. To be really picky, maybe some fresh grilled tomatoes included within the breakfast? Otherwise, can t think of anything. . Wifi wasn t very good. Everything was excellent thing The location was good, but my husband can t walk very far so it meant we had to get taxis to the city and back. thing thing Hotel a little dated in places but this did not stop us from having a lovely break. Although out living space was lovely and clean, it was a bit on the small side and the shower living space was very small, for 2 nights it was not a problem. The sausages served at morning meal didn t seem high quality. THERE WAS NOTHING THAT WE DIDN T LIKE. Absol NOTHING Everything was fine noplaints . thing to improove N A thing thing Steps thing about a mile t ge antswhere such as shops restaraunts or bus stop Very hot on our visit so all windows open. Main road very busy and noisy at night Main road noise . taking my cash before we got there. Internet access weak thing Unable check in when

👍 This is a lovely guest house run by a very friendly lady called Jackie. She gave us such a lovely wee and really made us feel at home. Nice location within walking distance of the pier, restaurants etc. Rooms werefortable and a lovely morning meal made fresh for everyone. Would stay here again if returning to Torquay. Excellent amodation and breakfast, Jackie, the hotel owner was very friendly and went out of her way to ensure we werefortable. The location was very good within walking distance of city centre, coast and harbour. Would strongly rmend. 1st time stay in Torquay. Jackie was very friendly and weing. Good choice of morning meal menu. Would highly rmend the Full English. Room was spotless andfortable. A definate must go to again. Jackie the owner was a lovely person she could not do enough for us. the morning meal was excellent and plenty of choice to choose from rmend the full english all freshly cooked and very tasty. i would highly rmend the bahamas as a ideal choice for somewhere to stay in Torquay as it s location is only a short walk to the seafront. Friendly and helpful owner but not intrusive. Nicefy bed, plenty of pillows, we appreciated the bottles of water each day and plenty of tea and coffee. Many thanks for the living space upgrade! Jackie the owner was great she upgraded are living space for us and was really friendly nothing was too much trouble for her. The living space was very clean and really nice I would stay here again. The location was perfect, from start to finish the host made sure we were okay and cooked up a fabulous morning meal very friendly all the way through the holiday and the rooms were clean and great no faults whatsoever All round great, lovely big living space with big bed, nice and warn throughout, very quiet night s sleep, lovely breakfast. Wouldn t hesitate to book again for any return trips to Torquay. Jackie was very warming and lovely! She was always available when you needed her and always made sure we were happy! Our headboard fell off during the night and Jackie fixed it as soon as we went off for the day! We had a night out and I came back having a bit too much to drink so she refreshed me with bottles of water and a bucket 😂 our living space was very nice and cosy! Due to it being a valentines getaway there was rose petals and chocolate on the bed! The bed was veryfy and omg the shower was divine! Breakfast was lovely and cooked fresh! Everything. The living space was spacious, fortable, well prepared and spotlessly clean like the rest of the hotel. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The location is superb, close enough to the front but far enough from Torquays vibrant nightlife on a Saturday night. Lots of free of cost parking too. The only thing that outshone the facilities and location was the warm wee from Jackie the owner and the care and attention she took with each guest throughout their stay. It s no wonder people go back time and again we certainly will. Cannot rmend highly enough A great location and only 5 minutes walk from the sea front. Jackie the owner was brilliant. I requested an upgrade a couple days before arrival and a couple other requests to have flowers brought to the living space ect and she handled it brilliantly. The rooms were clean and veryfortable and well taken care of. The breakfasts were also fantastic. The value for cash was excellent and as previously mentioned the hospitality was as go

👎thing. Couldnt ask for a better place 2 go for a 1st visit to the area. Jackie made us feel really weed and was more than happy to assist if we wanted anything. nothing everything fine A little way from the city centre bars and restaurants but this did mean that it was a fairly quiet area. faults at all thing The towel rail was very hot so each time I went out the bathroom my arm would brush past it and not burn but made you go ouch! Pillows weren’t puffy and duvet was quite thin however heating was lovely so kept us warm. Absolutely nothing The bed was quite small - however it wasfortable! The shower leaked quite a lot of water on the floor, didn’t affect us but obviously needs looking at. thing, we had a great weekend The bathroom did have a damp smell but Jackie has just taken over the facility so will need to upgrade thingsJackie needs to change the mattresses or bed bases as they are lumpy and ufortable. Could do with a good makeover, looking a little tired but clean. thing really Everything was fine, just a hint for tall people over 180cm when booking, inform the hotel, from some beds might feel a bit short. The whole place needs a good make over. my daughter had a single living space it was clean but very small and depressing. thing The wireless could have been a little stronger, and my living space could have done with a fan as I was waking up through the night with the heat and the window was open A bigger bed. Better friendlier customer service, A fan upon request the first time the living space was unbearably hot being asked if everything was ok after our first night, better housekeeping, misleading picture online if s very small room. The bedroom smelt and felt a little damp. My daughter spotted silver fish within the bathroom. It was however clean and well furnished. The hotel allegedly had a bar, this was not shown to us. We were living space only and not even given an option to have morning meal at an additional cost. Slightly disappointed with the hospitality. It was difficult to see the sign for the property, which features anarrow entrance, which opens up as it goes uphill with a loose stone driveway. musky odour in property and living space 12 shower head would not hold location for having a shower plus shower screen flapping, allowing water onto floor. The walls between rooms were a little thin so could hear the neighbours at times but didn t bother us too much Quiet, clean, beautiful decor. Host was so pleasant and helpful. Will definitely stay again. Parking was a huge bonus. Plenty of tea and coffee in room. Veryfy bed. Areas of the property needed updating but main rooms are nicely done. Plug socket behind the bed, so a little difficult to get to. Would have preferred a bath instead of shower, a bit hard to get right temperature. We could not have asked for anything more. If I had to pick a downside it would be that there was no fresh towels the next morning The bathroom was a little small, and not a fan of having a shower within the bathroom. A normal shower would be better. Very rude and disrespectful owners... I actually left a night early and was still charged.... I work away an awful lot and these are the wost host s I have ever known. Room wasn’t properly cleaned - duvet was just turned over, and not actually cleaned. WiFi kept going down

👍 Lovely family hotel. Couldn t do enough to ensure our stay was a good one. Keys for everyone. Lovely heated pool and gardens were so nice. Access was easy and parking great. Would definitely visit again. The warm wee, you were treated like you had been going for years. You could smell the cleanliness, the living space was spacious beds were made each day. It’s was definitely a family run I met the daughter her mom and her mom 3 generations. The morning meal was amazing, fruit juice, cereals, then the morning meal which in itself was perfect. The chef was amazing, I wish I could have stayed a week, I definitely am going back. The living space was immaculate. I generally take gloves with me wherever i stay. Thankfully not used them this time. I loved the friendliness of all the family. The hotel was more than adequate for our over night stay. Everything was great including the added touch of plenty of tea and coffee and milk in our room. I am looking forward to going back again soon and I will certainly be rmending it to my friends and family. We were even offered the use of the car park and the toilet after we had checked out to go for a last walk around the local area. Amazing service. Thank you for making our week end extra special. Lovely amodation easy access to Torquay the employees are brilliant and very friendly would definitely stay there again and rmend to family and friends The place was clean. The wee was warm and genuine. Warm, friendly wee. Easy parking. Lovely area close to shops, restaurants, buses and seafront. Owner very helpful and informative. Room clean and tidy. Bed veryfortable and shower easy to use and hot. Delightful little park nearby. Park great to relax in and unwind within the evening. Very freindly staff. Very Clean and very quiet in a nice area The employees was lovely Good price. Hot shower. Good location for coast and attractions in Babbbe. Unable toment on morning meal as not taken. Outdoor pool not open as out of season. Location was fantastic for what I needed, and the parking was easy and ample. Room was spacious, and bed was veryfortable. Family feel and ideally located employees are all superb and went out of there way to assist and with me and my partner both being disabled it goes a long way this was our 3rd visit and far from our last. The employees were very friendly and helpful, made you feel very much at home . It is very clean andfortable and in a very good location. Good value for cash and well worth adding on the amazing morning meal . I highly rmend this hotel, and thank them all so much for my wonderful stay. The family run business. Was great had no problems with this. The morning meal was fantastic. And I did change my mind a couple of mornings which was not a problem. The morning meal each morning was really good with a good variety of choice. The full English was enough to last me the day. we were well catered for each day. Nice warm room, with a Lovelyfortable bed. Also very clean toilet and shower. :Staff very friendly and amodating, made morning meal for me to take as I was working and unable to sit to eat. Lush!Would return here any time. Very friendly, quiet, clean andfortable family-run hotel in pleasant neighbourhood. Great value - thoroughly rmend it. Nice friendly staff, cosy living space and good choice of morning meal ie different choice of cereals, juices and hot

👎 There was nothing to dislike shame we had to start our journey home so early so couldn t have breakfast. There was absolutely nothing I could fault A little further out from city and the usual mod cons. Our host was great a chatty inclusive lady. There was nothing that I would change. The bed was very small and notfortable. Having to drive over the pavement to get around the bus in order to park! All good Only fault really was the curtains as they don’t really block the light out but that’smon with most places I have visited I was a little disappointed I couldn’t use the pool . Didn’t see the bar open . I would of liked a HOT SHOWER NOT LOOK WARM . I would of liked to feel warm my living space was cold . Old double bed, wifefortable me not so. Bit dated. Very small TV. extraction in shower room. A sign on the shower tap could have been useful, as I spent a long time waiting for the water to get hot to find out it was the cold side! But only a tiny thing really. Having toe home I stayed for 5 nights and was ill for 3 of those, the owners and employees could not have been kinder, They were wonderful. I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS AT ALL, There was nothing to dislike about the hotel My only criticism would be the lack of a proper en suit bathroom. After using the toilet one had toe back into the bedroom to use the wash basin a little impersonal. Also, the shower needed repairing as the shower head was held in place by a cable tie. Needs a little TLC. shampoo, I forgot mine. Could have done with decaffeinated tea or coffee only normal available. Being picky was a great stay. Wifi didn t reach living space and bed lopsided. Other than that all good. morning meal was not cooked fresh but re-heated a full English re-heated disgusting and a health risk, no bar as advertised, pool closed, no clock radio, living space service rubbish no fresh towels still wet from a shower the day before tv too small, bed sheets not changed all the time we were there, wallpaper peeling and damp stains, wireless password doesn t work, would not rmend you waste your hard earn cash here! Very dated living space no clock or hairdryer as advertised wall paper was peeling off bed very ufortable duvet didn’t even cover the bed Was in family living space so had to use single bed duvet as well shower was very poor not enough pressure Bar was closed as it was ‘damaged’same day as arrival no cooked evening meals as again advertised wireless in room, would have been charged for extra tea etc. TV too small, could not fill kettle up in room Our living space was near the laundry room, tumble dryer started at 6am. Staff were smoking near our bathroom window. Room services were not up to standard as the living space was not serviced at all had to ask for towels and basic toiletries Most The view from our living space was poor. Although I imagine that if I had asked, we would have been moved Weather, but not much can be done about that. The weather thing the place was very relaxing The bedroom and shower living space were very small. The wash basin was tiny it had to be to fit within the tiny room. There were a few repairs that needed to be done. Threat of a service charge if you brought in food or drink to your living space from outside. The living space was a little on the small side, but had everything there. would have liked fresh coffee at morning meal instead

The location was a few minutes walk to the rail stop the great bus service and ferry service there were plenty of places to eat and drink a love key park a stroll down the road from the hotel its self an extremely clean establishment with a lovely morning meal and two lovely helpfull peaple in Liz and Paul who went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible . I Don t always fill out these reviews but felt this couple deserve to be given praise for their hard work and the cleanliness of their hotel The Breakfast at the Hotel was excellent and plentiful, the living space was spotlessly clean, and the bed was veryfortable. Could not fault anything, only wished we could have stayed longer. Liz and Paul were very amodating and their morning meal was very nice We were met by Liz who immediately made us feel wee. She was interested in our stay and assured us if we needed anything she was there to help! We had lovely bright, cosy, clean, warm room. We were asked to pre order our morning meal which was a super idea! Breakfast delicious and very prompt. The service was great! We would definitely stay there again and will rmend to our friends. I was extremely impressed that Liz contacted me to make sure we had a safe journey and was home! The owners are very friendly courteous couple, nothing is to much for them, lovely breakfast, lovely rooms, overall excellent. Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of quality food. The rooms were well-appointed and with several

👎 Limited morning meal choice, no porrige, continental fish, no bread choices offered. Small room. Kettle plug doesn t reach socket, so had to move it to a lower table. Bathroom door catch didn t work. Just the parking facilities, there were very few spaces, and we do have a big car. The roads around Torquay have double yellows almost everywhere. But we were lucky to find a space just around the corner and down the road : thing to improve perfect Room was on the high floor and there was no lift. My wife has bad knees and found it very hard work. It smelt of stale cigarette in most areas of the BB. WOULD NOT RETURN. a little more parking The only downside to the hotel was the parking. There was only 2 parking spaces at the back which were taken during our short trip so we had to drive around on the first day to find a parking space which was a few minutes walk and we were unable to see our new car. The second day we had to park in a paid car park as we couldn’t find a parking space. There wasn t anything we didn t like.thing to fault. thing not to like Although it says that the hotel features afree parking the reality is that this parking are only like 3 very narrow spaces at the back out of which 1 was blocked and 2 taken - reversing is a pain to as very narrow back street leads to the parking which is at its end. Thus property should not be marked as parking included really parking was a real problem only limited space which was very small. noplaints thing thing There was music each morning at 7 which woke us up so could not relax within the morning. Bed was a bit harder than expected thing could have been better! We did park ok but that probably would be the only down fall. thing. Liz and Paul are a very nice couple. Very helpful and kind. The living space was very clean with everything you need. Breakfast was lovely and good quality value for money. I would rmend this Bed and morning meal and i will be staying there again. Kash Only slight negative was we struggled to find somewhere to park. But they do say parking is limited!! So not as if they don t make that clear!! Only thing we didn t like was the fact that we couldn t stay longer. There was very little car parking at the hotel, so had to park in nearby roads. For people who do not know the area this would be awkward not knowing. We did know the area so it wasn t too bad. thing There was nothing to dislike about the hotel or the owners. Both were superb just couldn t fault it It is quite a walk into town, OK if you are young and fit, but only £5 for a taxi home, which wasn t so bad. I can say that was the only down side of our visit. Lack of parking could be a problem within the summer. Coffee although amazing morning meal made up for it If prefer a larger room. There was nothing you could of done to make it better. I have a large car which did not fit within the space, found parking elsewhere. Absolutely nothing apart from the scaffolding outside which detracted ever so slightly from the character of the building. Also meant parking at the rear somewhat tight but that s really all I could fault about this hotel. thing There was nothing we didn t like about our stay. Bed too soft for our liking not necessarily owners fault just not our preference.Breakfast awful, so much do only ate 1 day out of 3. For so

👍 Cheap and cheerful. Exactly what we needed. The living space was great. Comfy beds. Staff were great. Couldn t ask for anything more. Lovely swim within the pool. We were the only people in there. It s old fashioned charm. Good location. Staff friendly and weing. Staff we re really friendly and weing. Amazing value for money, had a 3 course meal and morning meal all which was good quality food. Comfortable cozy living space and 10 mins walk from the coast. Would definitely visit again 🙂 Had a bargain deal breky eve meal 25 pounds may bank hol sunday living space was a double prob a cancelled coach party maybe lots of nice guests was greeted by nice man im afraid to say tho that the woman manager fair haired woman is a bit of a jackel and hide type one min nice then not so nice mornings is the not so nice maybe she refused another nights stay when I phoned down asking if any rooms available as I wasn t feeling so good and saves change of another living space sheets etc she said no fully booked im afraid ohh ok I knew this was not right as I had been lookin on line at hotels around torquay I double checked and there was many rooms I phoned back and said there are many rooms left on booking . and I said but not to worry as there was so much choice around here and ill let booking . know you have nothing left I went down stairs and she is a odd woman prancing around in my eye view looking in my direction oh well she did me a huge favour I found a honeymoon suite 4 windows of torbay sea scenery for less than the price of 43 pounds which the lawn was charging and better quality present days up to date with it perrrecttttttt.. thanks mrs rude miserable lady 2nd time encountered her strange odd behaviour perhaps she is jellous ohh well a good deal at 25 not 43 tho many many better deals to be had Monday a cheaper day any way as most ppl going home after long week end never again I said that last time this time I mean it most employees great to be honest a lot of ppl there as a coach hotel shame as was very nice first half second half rudeness only from manager The hotel features agreat location. The living space was big, bright, very clean. The bed was reallyfy with crispy white linen. The receptionist lady was friendly and helpful. Very good value, lovely view of the sea. Room was spacious and the bedfortable. Swimming pool lovely and warm. Clean and easy parking Great location excellent value £50 for b&b and evening meal - morning meal was lovely, dinner was 3 courses, fairly basic food but very nice and for the all in cost it was unbelievable value The hotel has an oldie-worldy feel but was great for what I needed for a girls weekend away with my Eight-year-old daughter. Walking distance to town, walking distance to the coast and Living Coasts and a lovely pool within the hotel. The living space we had was large and airy although a trifle hot at night and had a lovely view of the sea. The people that checked us in were lovely and friendly and all-in-all we had a really nice weekend and would definitelye back. I stayed at Abbey lawn last week on my own for the night and it was better than I thought. The only disadvantage was the wireless , you couldnt get it within the rooms, only downstairs by the reception but that was only minor. I arrived and the lady at the reception was friendly and helpful. The living space was tidy, organised and there was everything I needed. I paid £26 for a single living space for th

👎thing Regimented dinner service and pre prepared food which came out moments after ordering. the woman manager was odd and rude to be honest not the first time either stayed there last year and had odd behaviour from her and her cleaner trying to get me out of living space before my time knocking on door and standing and listening and some rude ness gave it another go but still jackel and hyde behaviour from her never again other employees working hard and they respect guests The rest of the employees was a bit unprofessional. The lift is small and slow. It would have been nice to have a lunch option other than sandwiches. e. g pasty or a salad. It was half board but the narrow window for meal times meant I could not eat there. But they were clear about the times - just didn t suit an early riser. Wifi only in public areas. Very old, creaking building. Every time someone moved, you heard it. Evening meal only served between Six-7pm, morning meal window similarly short Eight-9am. Indoor pool shuts at 6pm. possibly the bar open a little later but no big deal The living space was a bit too hot and the floors were really creaky meaning that each time someone walked past our door I woke up! Wifi hot spots to the rooms This is the most dirty, grimy place I have ever stayed see photos. I ordered two boiled eggs for morning meal which were hard as a bullet, sent them back and they returned very undercooked eggs! If you value your health avoid this place........ Spending more time there, checked in and out in 10 minutes and slept for 6 hours after a wedding. Will look to book again the next time I’m in Torquay 😊 Only 1 nights stay so morning meal was only a 1 hour slot Walls are very thin. Very expensive for what you get which is barely anything. Water took 10 minutes to heat up and awful pressure. Floors and creeky. Like it’s trying to be present days but it’s too old and traditional I asked for a double living space because I was treating myself for my birthday. They charged 70 pound for this. My friend payed 35 for his single room.w my premium living space was a tiny bit bigger and nicer, but when I arrived and he realised I was not two people he said he would sort the price out for me. Then charged me fully over promise under delivery then I get to see what I spent 70 on and it just was not a 70 room. 50 yes, not 70. Also it said there was an out door pool, but that closed 3 years ago. They were very keen to tell me about a 6 foot bed I would love, but this was 2 beds together and the head boards broken on one of them. Poor bathroom old fittings. Room very dated. Flight of stairs to 3rd floor have not been hovered not just that day but looks like weeks. We had our wedding reception at the hotel and it was our 25th wedding anniversary so decided to stay but what a disappointment the hotel looked as though no cash has been invested into it for the last 25 years. WIFI in bedroom. The toilet was un flushed on arrival, very unpleasant experience. Needed a touch of TLC in our living space with a need to sort out the cover on the wires pipes within the bathroom and also the seal around the bath wasing away in places plus when you had a shower it would go all over the floor think it’s to do with the curtain it might do better with a glass panel instead At times it did seem like we were in a old folks home we didn’t realise coach trips for the elderly are the norm at this hotel but we

👍 Clean, friendly, great facilities, cool place, good location. Were excited from other reviews to meet Marga; however, whilst she was absent, the equally lovely Nick was present who was very hosting and quick to assist us. Would definitely stay again if in Torquay. : Good location with free of cost guests car park. We really liked quirky style of the place, it shows artistic side of Landlady Marga, who greeted us warmly upon arrival, shown us around and made sure we have all we need. We were pleased with our living space and all other facilities we were weed to use freely, like kitchen, bathrooms and lovely garden. Sadly we didn t had chance to say good bye to Marga in person when leaving, but we had a nice long chat with very friendly and funny Annie, one of the staff. If wee to Torqay again we will be happy to stay at Le Papillon again great value for money! Absolutely lovely ! Rooms were very nice, clean andfortable. Staff was very weing, and lovely. Couldn’t of ask for a better stay. Location was ideal not far from the town. My daughter and I were surprised with the property. The owner and the employees there were very friendly and helpful. We have had very good facilities on there. We were very satisfied with everything there. We loved the whole experience. The atmosphere and warm wee were simply superb. The facilities were excellent and the access to the area extremely good. Will certainly return. Friendly clean beautiful part of the world, love to go back. The big garden was beautiful, made to fill very wee, lovely lights and candles, very spacious. The property was amazing! Really colourful, bright and picturesque inside! Never been to Torquay before so it was an amazing stay but unfortunately a short weekend! Will definitely be returning to Le Papillon. Me and my other half stayed in one of the little cabins they have available outside and it was so quaint and cute... we loved each second! Obviously the shower is within the main building which is no problem at all. You have a bathroom a few feet away from you in a slightly smaller cabin and a sink available in your living space too with hot and cold water. There’s also a kettle to make coffee and tea and littleplimentary biscuits. I suggest bringing your own towels with you and any appliances such as hair dryers etc. Lovely stay and the lovely lady who owns the place was wonderful also. 😊 the living space was great. guest house was central but in a quiet location. Stayed in one of the cabins. It was a lovely space and the heater was a wee addition. Loved being able to step straight out into the garden within the morning. A gem of a find... fun, quirky, colourful and very clean. A great experience staying in one of the cabins with excellent indoor facilities. Would definitely return. The hotel owner Marga was very friendly, nothing was too much for her. The employees were great they made our stay enjoyable. my bed was reallyfy and the rooms were very bright and clean. i would definately stay there again not far from sea front and employees very plesant. I liked everything. It was truly a home away from home. The owner is a very lovely hosting lady. Thank you Margo for giving us a very enjoyable time, would 100%eback. Loved each bit of it! Margo was so hosting and the place was so quirky me and my little girl loved it! The wooden cabins with fairy lights and everything were just lovely. Fantastic fac

👎thing. We loved it all We liked everything. Everything was perfect. thing! on line it stated that the check-in was between 12.30 and 14 then again between 17.30 and 23. we arrived before 14 but found this information was wrong and that the check-in was only from 17.30. Really decent basic facilities but would have benefited from a couple of lights within the garden for getting to the cabin at night! There wasn t anything we disliked. Everything was as expected, as described when booking. well i would have liked morning meal included although i knew it was living space only when i booked so no fault to management. There was nothing to not like The limited tokens given for the 8 minute showers, the noice from children within the garden after 10.30pm and other people leaving food and plates inmunal areas. Tokens for shower Waking up at 5.30 as there’s no curtains. There were 3 windows two frosted one not,all up high but the sun blared in and woke us up. We had a busy day and a long drive ahead and it was too early to wake up! It was all good apart from tv reception and the lack of ensuite facilities. thing The whole experience was strange, odd I would rmend as a hostel not for families or couples Shared bathroom facilities including toilet, shower timer tokens that ran out half way through the shower and you had to put the token within the slot outside the bathroom have a friend on hand to do this for youFamily living space was so so hot, windows didn t open, not even a fan. TV was in a separate living area not within the bed living space of the family room Location to harbour shops is a good 25 minute walk The token operated shower was horrible. There was nowhere to put your body wash or shampoo. The living space was freezing at night despite the. day being hot. The tv was so tiny up on the wall. Wasn t expecting to share bathrooms with other guests but these were spotlessly clean over the whole weekend we were there. I feel on the hotel details it should say that rooms are not ensuite and there are shared facilities as some people may not like this. Our living space on the ground floor was very hit when we arrived as the blinds had been left open all day and window shut with sun blasting in. Maybe window open and blinds shut before we arrived would have been good. Torquay city centre is around 30mins walk downhill there and uphilling back so less able people may struggle. I certainly got a work out over the weekend we stayed with all the walking. Was aching Monday morning. nothing Didn t realise that the living space was not en suite until we arrived, this would have made our stay even better. Shower temperature is fluctuating and historic coin machines to operate them seem unnecessary to keep. Tv was impossible to operate remotely from the bed s distance. The absence of natural light within the kitchen although each attempt has been made to cheer it up. There was nothing I didn t like. Tokens for an 8 minute shower no towels supplied which I don t normally take for a one night stay thing!! You re provided with a coin to use the showers. They are timed and you only have 8 minutes before the water stops flowing! Distance to toilet if the weather had been wet it would have been a real problem. Didn t not like anything. We did not dislike anything Very cold, although the weather was freezing a

👍 The morning meal was very good. The location was an easy walk to the theatre and also not too far from the train station Tony and his wife were friendly. Breakfast was excellent. Free parking available. Restaraunts n take away food shops are nearby. Location was fab, such an easy walk to the sea front Staff were super friendly and hosting Comfy bed Very friendly owners willing to chat and interact. Good traditional morning meal well cooked and plenty of it. par for the course. living space number 5 rather on the small side. our morning meal requirements are very basic, so noment. Room a little small, morning meal was good. location good but on a hill, if not very mobile may be difficult to get around. good bus or taxi. Beds werefy. Owner is pleasant and helpful, we was there for a wedding and he said the groom could get ready there and offered him breakfast. Very kind. Tony was a very friendly and jovial host and provided a satisfying front for his hard working and friendly efficient staff. Will definitely book this hotel if we return to the area within the future. Missing our morning meal time chats banter already Our host was very nice, took good care of us and entertained us very well. The morning meal was good either. Our living space was cleaned daily. It was nice of the owner Colin to let us check in early as we were travelling a fair distance and arrived early. Colin upgraded us to a bigger living space at no expense to us. The place was very clean and the morning meal was one of the best I’ve had! I ate the lot it was cooked to perfection. There was free of cost parking at the back of the hotel and the hotel was a couple of minutes walk to the coast and 15 to the centre. Perfect really. Such a nice friendly chap I cannot thank him enough for our very last minute booking and very relaxed check out. Really nice guy and place. Nice and clean lovely morning meal . bedfy. Great location . I m gluten free of cost the host bought me a whole load. gave it to me on leaving. Easy to get into the centre. buy a bus day saver and travel around. Guest house is conveniently located - a 10 minute walk to the coast. A nice, hot breakfast. The morning meal was great, always served with a friendly chat from Tony. We were made to feel very wee. The pub over the road was handy for evening meals and good value. Absolutely nothing to dislike, friendly wee, lovely host and absolutely superb breakfast. Although not fully set up for mobility access everything was done by the host to suit our needs. Highly rmend Great employees owner was really jolly, helpfull and great with my 9 year old lad. Great morning meal and choice. Good location but if you struggle climbing up a hill to walk back may be a issue a little. Room was clean and efficent. Others have said about bathroom being tiny yes it was a little within the family living space but at 6ft 2 and bigger build i didnt struggle. Over all GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY and will definetly stay again. The owners were very pleasant, and sociable, made us feel very wee. There was a good choice of food at morning meal time, which was served at a very reasonable time within the morning, not too early. Tony is very ebullient, jovial and friendly and makes one feel very wee. The breakfasts were very filling and tasty. Nice Location and excellent neighbourhood; nice, understanding understandable and friendly staff; Veryfy bed and beddings; Hassle free of cost Wi-Fi log

👎 As everything was good, there was nothing that I didn t like Everything was just ok. The shower was difficult to use and get the temperature right... Either way too hot or too cold The living space was a bit small and crowded in a basement area but we were out most of the time so this didn t prove too ufortable. much of the environment was as expected, so nothing we did not like. a little updating needed, positioned on hill disadvantage for older or disabled. Shower wasn t powerful. Don t think there was anything we didn t like. The bed was a little bit too small for two adults. Honestly there are no faults. Get booked in! Only let down was no shampoo in bathroom .usually I take mine but as it was a last minute thing and said toiletries were available .there was hand wash I didnt on this occasion . Radiators were not on. Needed to dry towels .sept The morning meal time was far too early, 8.45 to 9.30. chance of a lie in on holiday! Very dated decor and furniture - could do with an overhaul. Basement living space felt quite dingy and cramped. If i was being picky would just say it could do with a bedside lamp but nothing serious. We were happy with the cleanliness of the room, clean linen and bed sheets etc, but The living space was quite small for a family living space of 4, as we were within the lower part of the Bed and breakfast, there was only half a window, so you had the scenery of the the other guests feet as they walked past, The living space very warm, and dark, although we were given fans, which helped a little. The living space was on the small side, but for the price was expected to be! The lavatory is smartly clean though my living space bathroom is not that spacious. The parking was round the corner and involved double parking - but at least there was parking The bathroom wasn’t clean enough, it had dust in obvious places that weren’t hidden, so it was easily seen, I didn’t go searching for dust I could just see it. The living space was tiny, but was ok for the cash we paid. They should invest in a ceiling fan because the living space was like an oven and the window could only be opened about 4 inches. thing I didn t like The bed was really too small for two people, but to be fair we knew that when booking. It wasn t child friendly, we didn t realise this upon booking that children younger than 5yrs weren t excepted. Bathroom needed a good gutting out the shower wasnt the best or the cleanest and the toilet flush was useless that desperately needed changing, the towels were put to change and weren t changed so we had to use damp towels, they are also very thin so that didn t help, the living space itself could do with better decor as it looked like they ran out of wallpaper half way round. The cups weren t changed daily,We got told our 6month old baby caused noise pollution at night which isn t fantastic to hear when your new parents and your baby is teething and struggling to sleep. It would be better if morning meal was served a bit earlier as if you have a day planned you have to wait till 9am to have morning meal by this time I feel most the morning is wasted. Due to the small design of the living space the bathroom is same, but it was clean with everything you needed, so not a major issue The living space was a dated. Traffic noise from main road was disruptive. Lots of electrical extension leads which could be avoided if more sockets were available. Limited car parking.
