👍 It was clean andfy. Crisp. Manager was amodating and professional. Quiet surroundings. The Comfort In Hopkins is a clean, fortable facility and reasonably priced. We have stayed there before and returned because we like it. It was even better this time because the neighborhood has been cleaned up from our last visit, and they now have bikes for guests to use. Staying in Comfort In was best decision we could have made! The location is great, directly on the coast and very easy to reach everything you need! There are a lot of shops and restaurants around it as well! Free bicycles, drinking water, a kitchen and our own bathroom!Tyler was so helpful and friendly! He made our stay very special!! Thanks to you Tyler!!! Hope toe back to Hopkins soon!! Lenon and Travis were super helpful with anything I needed from transportation where to eat. Always friendly helpful in each way. Left feeling like I have made lifetime friends!!! A few pros:The living space we were offerd was great. The establishment itself features afine location. We had our rental car and drove about 30 minutes each time to the surrounding parks and sites. Great choice of nearby restaurants Warm shower, good WiFi and great beds for sleeping. They also have a shared fridge to put your grocery in The employees were absolutely incredible! The living space was spacious and scenery were amazing. Would rmend! The employees were very helpful, Lennon was amazing just like one of my sons!!! I liked there was a kitchen and a clothes line lots of place to sit! Free bikes! Free coffee. Free drinking water. Room was clean, good lighting, hot and cold water and extra fan for the heat. The employees was great! Always available and happy to help. Had a little issue with the living space we booked but they handled it and went above and beyond. Hotel is about a Five- 10 min walk from the middle of town. Great help from staff. Walking distance from everything. Free bikes available. Kitchen for guests and porch with tables to talk with other residents The owner was very helpful in resolving the problems we encountered during our stay. The living space was clean and fine for our needs. It was a simple living space with a double bed and a ceiling fan but no air-conditioning only certain rooms avail of this. There was a sink within the living space itself and a semi-closed area for the shower and toilet. It was good to have this within the room, but I would ve preferred a door to the toilet and a separation between the toilet and the shower. The property is very close to the coast. Atmosphere was good and people very friendly. You got to see how people really live within themunity. The water was within walking distance. They supplied drinking water nice not to have to buy bottled water. There were a few bicycles for the guests to use free of cost of charge. Stores and restaurants were close by. The living space was super clean andfortable. It’s right in a neighborhood, which was a plus in my opinion because there was a lot of local activity.. music, kids, people socializing. I enjoyed the people watching from the covered seating and eating area. It was very quiet sleeping. We did not cook here, but the kitchen looked functional and other guests made great smelling dinners. All in all, seems like a really good value in Hopkins for more budget minded travelers. Bikes are available for use. The gentleman within the office was very warm and friendly, offering us advi
👎 Parking issues... had to park on the streetNo Wi-Fi air-conditioning within the living space I booked but the moved to one with air shortly after. We booked a three night stay through . in this guesthouse. The amodation seems to be run more like a hostel. The day-to-day employees consists of youthful guys from the village and although they are very friendly and try to make you feel wee, they seem to be fairly ipetent with handeling the formalities. To make a very long story short, at our check-in we had a mimunication that made us feel quite ufortable and resulted in us almost canceling the booking. The young guy literally told us that the living space we booked was only for one night s pay and not for three. We got a clear feeling we were being scammed as we had to pay by cash immediately or leave. So I quickly contacted the manager teamlead what ever through the mail. The situation was however swiftly handled properly and solved by the manager of the place. Without letting us know in advance this amodation only accepts payments in cash, though on the . it says it will also accept credit card. It creates an issue for some as the city only has an ATM from Belize Bank. This bank does not work on cards with a chip, so be prepared! We realize that differences in culture are always lurking around. We are however expierenced travellers from the no-nonsense kind. So when the amodation has the Tourism Certificate hanging at the reception, we assume the employees is able to handle things correctly and a little bit more from a different perspective when ites to tourists from other and more developed countries. What else is this certification for?A few cons:Although I asked 3 times. They did not give me an invoice at the check-in. I was literally laughed at. The birdpoop covered kitchen wasn t working the first day and is iplete to say the least. They have 1 pan and this is.... broken...😉We had no cleaning of living space or change of towels during our stay. Everywhere you look around the amodation, there is trash and probably close to 100 empty beer bottles.... The shower toilet situation was absolutely bizarre but got the job done. The pillows were way overstuffed for any standard-sized human tofortably use. We went without but we’re only there one night. It could have been an issue had the stay been more long-term. My living space didn’t have air conditioning, but I knew that it was all good👍 This is budget amodation for budget travelers, so it would be churlish toplain. Things went wrong, but the employees is excellent and very quick to fix them. It is very good value for money, extreamly considering the free of cost bikes and that I paid twice as much for much less on Caye Caulker. But you must ask for the rooms with A C for $7.50US extra per day, otherwise they are intolerable. Room was smaller than shown on pictures. Did not expect the toilet to be in along with the shower. I wish that part of Belize was not so littered Although the owner was very helpful, the day-to-day employees were often absent which meant a lot of waiting around unnecessarily e. g. over 2.5hrs to check in. The kitchen facilities haven t been maintained very well, they are now old and rusty, and though our living space was clean the kitchen facilities were not. The bins weren t taken out, the fridge smelt bad and the dishes weren t clean. There were some problems with plumbing which meant the water
