👍 Room design and the furniture was looking good.
The location was great walking distance from parking garage and time square the living space was small but had everything we needed
Location is fantastic. 30metres from the1 subway, 5minute walk to Time Square.
We really liked our bed, it was huge and veryfy! Everything was clean and tidy. Fantastic location for getting around the city and sightseeing.
I came to NYC to see a Broadway show and this hotel was right within the heart of everything I wanted to see and do. As close as you are to Times Square, the rooms are very quiet at night and the bed was reallyfortable. I will definitely stay here again when I return to the Big Apple.
Hotel is a most fantastic location.. elegant rooms.. missed my tea and coffee facilities in a living space Sumntha and others within the hotel were very helpful and friendly..
The living space was cleaned properly each day. And there was free of cost coffee within the lobby.
The location of the hotel is off the main drag but close enough to go enjoy all the festive events in times Square
Location was buys, but good because it’s between two metro stations.
The employees were so helpful and nice and the location was perfect! The living space was nicely decorated loved the black chandelier and large mirror and the bed was extremelyfortable. Theplimentary Fiji water, as well as shampoo&conditioner etc were nice touches too.
Room 306 ...... great shower and bed wasfortable.... excellent location.... there’s a saying you get what you pay for....
Staff was kinda helpful. But some don t even know what they are doing at the front desk.
The atmosphere and ambiance was so nice. The employees was very friendly and helpful. GREAT location. Within walking distance and very close to time square.
Good location. Bedrooms had fresh decor with afy bed with nice linen.
Staff was great! Our Airline lost our luggage and the employees at the frontdesk did everything to track our luggage after it was lost in transport. Room was fine. Beds arefy. Overall clean living space and bathroom. We had a great stay.
Cleanliness of the living space including the bathroom;fy beds and location of the hotel.
Front desk Marlena and I forgot her name were EXCELLENT. Smiles and warm greetings and living space was ready when I arrived.
Fantastic location. Easy access to transport links. Direct line to the airport. Lots of restaurants within the neighbourhood.
Breakfast was not that great.
The property was ideally located- close to Times Square and Central Park. Also the employees were amazing- so helpful and pleasant to meet.
All of the employees was incredible! They were so friendly and helpful our entire stay. We didn te across any negative attitudes and they were very attentive. We would definitely stay here again!
Location was great, overnight employees was great and the employees at arrival was fabulous overall a great stay for the price.
The location of the hotel in proximity of the theater
Location was good, friendly staff. Plenty of towels and living space made up each day also shower was very good.
The shower pressure was amazing. The location to the Gershwin theater was unbelievable.
It s a great location for a good price. Bed was veryfortable.
the hotel is located very good for sightseeing. easy to get to time square and other touristic places5th Eve.,
👎 Wi-fi didn t work for the last two days, bathroom tap was dropping for all the time, there was no hot water on the tap where you wash your hands, windows were poorly insulated, all the sound and cold weather wasing inside.
We told the front work area that we will be checking out at 1pm the housekeeping employees unlocked our doors and almost came in while we were sleeping at 11:30am
It s New York the city that never sleeps. So if you re a light sleeper neither will you! The AC is very loud, but if you turn it off and open a window the street is even louder! I was there within the very cold. but living space was so hot had to do something to cool room.
Our living space was so small that we did not have a wardrobe or any place for our clothes apart from a few hangers so we basically had to dress from the luggage. It is ok for 1 or 2 nights but it gets annoying after a while. The living space was also very dark and the window was very old and poor quality insulation. The lady working at the morning meal buffet was really sweet but the buffet itself was very limited only sweet things.
Some days was very cold in a living space due to AC unit and problem with a window closing..
The heater was not working properly within the room, so it was a bit cold. Also, the living space was a bit loud - you could hear the pipes and the elevator noises.
The hotel itself was way too warm. Our living space was way too hot to even sleep
Did not know previous to going that it was going to cost 200 dollars more than expected as there was a ‘room rate’. WiFi was also very poor considering we had to pay for it.
amenities. The bed was very ufortable. Paper thin walls. Mediocre coffee, albeit free. Was charged a mysterious fee. Certainly not worth the price.
The living space was a bit small we were glad we hadn’t brought anything other than carry on suitcases as there would be no space for a large one and the morning meal which we didn’t have looked expensive for what it had to offer
Room 306 bathroom door didnt close, no privacy.. base of toilet hasn’t been cleaned in awhile.... who ever did the finishing touches didn’t do a very good job.... paint on tiles and bathroom window.... wouldn’t take much to clean that up and would make a huge difference in presentation. .... attendant didn’te to clean the living space until 5:30 one day... we just asked for clean towels.. a couple of weeks after we booked our living space we received an email telling us that there was a $19.95 residence fee per night..... we opted out of it and yet we were charged the fee at checkout.... got that refunded.
The Hotel charges a resort fee which wasn t shown on booking.. . only reached out to me a week before my short trip and all the priced for hotels within the area has gone up. If I d known the final price I wouldn t be booking this hotel. Dirty and old facility. Such a small bathroom. The window looks like it hasn t been cleaned for ages. Broken phone and window shade when first checked in. Overall very bad experience. Will not stay here again. Can t evenpare to other hotels within the area with the same price range. Disappointed!
The hidden resort fees that are applied. This fees are not listed during the time of booking.
Room wasn t ready. Sheets stink like Clorox. Tiny elevator living space bathroom closet. Emergency exit was unusable, this is probably illegal.
The place is old a creaky and you hear people walking past your living space and certainly your neighbours. unless you are

465 Central Park West, Upper West Side, New York, NY 10025, USA
👍 Across from Central Park. Quiet.
The rooms were clean andfortable. The doorman was very helpful with questions we had on getting around
It was within the right location. It could have been worse -- at least there weren t roaches or bed bugs as far as we re aware.
The employees was great and amodating and loved that it was on Central Park.:
The location and the selection of tea within the basement.
The pictures of the lobby and living space looked incredible. Once enteres the living space the living space was as big as the bed, you could barely place your feet next to the bed let alone there was sufficient place to put our luggage for 2 persons. The price of the living space is way too high for what you get. There is no natural lighting within the window gives you a view of a wall of the building next to it, people can look inside so you cannot open the curtains for light because you have zero privacy. WiFi is not included you need to pay an extra 10 dollars for only 48 hours and does not work properly. One time we were without hot water and within the night the fire alarm went off for more then 3 hours on a raw disturbing our sleep, I went to ask info but they told me someone pulled the fire alarm. I went looking myself and it was not true. After they told me it was an electrical problem. The employees is not always helpful with carrying luggage. You don’t have water within the living space or a little snack only water within the lobby. There is not regulation of the temperature within the living space whatsoever so sometimes we were cooking within the night and other times it was crazy hot. airco, no fan. The only thing good is the location but NOT worth it.
Nice location. Clean room. But the rooms are small for the price.
The doormen were very nice and helpful.
Room was quite dirty - it was freezing at night, the radiators all rattled very loudly - and getting hot water was like playing rouelette. In new york in december employees was lovely though
I liked that we ve been close to the Central Park.
The location was good. Nice view on Central Park limited to living space availability, I made sure I had it before arrival
Free coffee is good. Location excellent. This in not a luxury hotel but suitable for those who will be mostly out and about. Very friendly and helpful staff.
In the whole very goods few minor annoyances: the key card had to be reset twice in less than 24 hours, the hallway smelt of wet carpet and noises at night from within the hotel that sounded like heavy furniture being moved. Breakfast was good but $18 seems a little steep. Delightful and helpful staff. Very clean, good location
The bed wasfortable and clean
Location was great
The location near Columbia University and Central Park was great for us.
For the price you really cantplain very reasonable and in a great location.
Staff was friendly and weing, but that was the only positive thing about this property
I liked the location and the value of the property. The check-in procedure was easy and the beds were surprisinglyfortable, despite what some of the reviews on this site seemed to say.
Location is great . Just besides Central Park and is very close to Columbia University. The bed isfortable as well .
door men very friendly.
It’s a decent location from the subway.
The tea and coffee
👎 The bed wasn t toofortable. They got ice bucket and no vending machines or ice machine. They overcharged me for the price, tried to take me for my cash until Iplained to s.. As I was checking in other guests had just arrived and stood next to me at the counter like they couldn t wait to check in.
toothpaste or toothbrushes. The firearm went off 10 times on out first night within the middle of the night. I think it was a kid pulling the alarm.
I was told I could use my passport for the incidental holding fee however then on my second booking the lady at the front work area proceeded to take my cash out of my bank when I specifically said not to and it left me out of pocket $150!!! I was sad I wouldn’t rmend as there is no mention of holding fee on website! I am still waiting for my cash now too!!!

The living space was incredibly small, much more so than would be expected from an alleged Three-star hotel. Worse, though, the maid service was ipetent; towels, travel-size shampoo, etc. were not appropriately replaced; bar soap for the shower was never provided; the living space was not cleaned to a satisfactory level. On high of this, the facilities were not maintained to a satisfactory degree; the shower was incapable of providing hot water the first night, the air con was provided by a noisy window unit that could not adequately cool the incredibly small room. And, on high of that, the walls were paper thin.
That our window was very dirty so we couldn’t see outside to the park. and that we didn’t have our own coffee maker
The heat did not work properly. At all. Beds were extremely hard. cable and the local tv selection is awful. Just wasn t a present stay for us.
cable Tv, mentioned in description tv and we assumed it was cable. Only abc no other channel except dumb nonsense. We enjoy watching news and could not on Sunday morning. The bathroom light would note on unless I stood on pot and thump the bulb. Stupid. Bed hard as rock, will not stay again.
Rooms are small. They take a security deposit. But there is nothing within the minibar nor the room.
Our door was left wide open by cleaning staff, we had to ask for towels daily because they took ours and didn’t replace, there was a bird carcas on our fire escape, the twisting lock didn’t work, the main light in our living space stopped working, the floor was obviously slanted.
DO NOT STAY HERE!!! - IT WON’T LET ME GIVE LOWER REVIEW THAN 2.5 - My sister and I stayed here for three nights and it was beyond terrible. Upon arrival, our living space cards did not work. We had to fix them twice, bad start; and a sign of what was toe. Once we finally got into the room, the heater was on and it smelled like smoke and we saw sparks from the very old heater. We called reception straight away out of fear that there was going to be a fire. They took their precious time to send someone and eventually a person came to assist who smelled like cigarette smoke a smell which lingered in our living space long after his departure. We tried to put our suitcases down on the floor, no living space for t

209 West 87 Street, Upper West Side, New York, NY 10024, USA
👍 For a NYC hotel living space - was VERY spacious. Room had a closet to hang shirts on a hanger. Plus a safe. There were two clothes drawers at base of bed. Also space under bed to place your empty luggage. Room was newly remodeled with new wallpaper lighting sheets etc. Bathroom was clean as a whistle - water was good pressure and hot! AC heating worked perfectly. Room 209 was very quiet. street noise at all. Just one helicopter flying overhead. Toiletries were nice. Bed was superfortable - I slept great!I would deffo stay here again. Great location on UWS. UWS is so quiet and peaceful - and a great launching pad to see the entire city - the 1 TRAIN is right there at 86th - one block walk.
For our purposes - our kids live north and south of the hotel - the location was excellent. There aren t a lot of Upper West Side hotels, actually. We d go for a bigger living space option next time from the one we were in whilefortable enough, just fit the bed. But we weren t planning on hanging out within the living space anyway, so the hotel worked well for us.
The property was in a good location, very near to subway and Central Park. The living space was very clean and the bed was veryfortable. The living space was tidied daily and clean towels were provided. The employees were friendly, and were very helpful when asked.
Location is good and they offer bag storage after checkout, but nothing more.
Terrific locazioni!! The 86th St Metro was 1 1 2 blocks away. Many great ethnic restaurants on Broadway, Amsterdam, and Columbus Avenues. Could walk to Central Park.
I loved the overall appeal of the hotel! Very beautiful and very clean! The living space was gorgeous as well. Most of the time hotel beds are notfortable but I slept so good on theirs!
I had morning meal in various local places as well as dinner. The hotel s location has many good restaurants to choose from and in very close proximity. The cleanliness of this hotel is incredible. The Queen Room I booked was small but great for a single person but is also very adequate for a couple. The living space had a switch to turn on and off the heat which I liked very much. Nice to control your own heat requirements. Loved the Italian toiletries. Cleaning employees always brought any extras I needed. On the 6th floor where I stayed there is a very cute little lounge where you can have coffee or tea. There was a medium fridge that I think some of the other guests were using to store something ask staff. This is a newly refurbished hotel so everything is brand new in this charming little boutique hotel.
Free coffee, nice and clean room, lot’s of towels
Comfortable bed, big TV, small kitchen with coffee and tea machine in each floor. The hotel stays in nice area, close to the city centre. Awesome option for cheap price :
very good location, 2 minutes to the subway station. considering the price, it is really a very nice place in new york. the living space is small, but very well organized, the staffs are very friendly and ready to help.
As a native UWS person who remembers what it was I am very pleased to say it was excellent. The living space was small but efficient andfortable and the employees pleasant and helpful
Very clean and tidy; I liked the style of the living space and lobby - professional and crisp andfortable. Staff were very responsive and helpful. Even though there was a point of confusion, we were able to satisfactorily resolve it. The living space was small, of course,
👎 I wish that upon checkin - that the employees had informed me of the free of cost coffee within the kitchen.
The living space included free of cost WiFi but this was very slow and spotty - you also had to have a new code for each day of stay which seemed unnecessary. The living space was very small, and there was very little storage space - living space under bed for suitcase and 2 draws - However we knew this entering the property from previous reviews. Don’t let this stop you from staying here!
Poor cleanliness overall, bedclothes and bath towels with other guests hair and stains, ventilation really bad causing mold smell, no space to move in a queen bedroom.
The only draw back was the size of the room- big enough for a double bed, that s it. Luckily we don t spend that much time in our room, but some people may not be happy with the size. The bathroom was a postage stamp, so if you are a larger person, you could barely turn around.
Room size was a little small, no microwave access to enjoy leftovers from restaurants, and kinda noisy but manageable not 100% sure if it was open-air noise or indoor noise however living space would constantly vibrate and shake at all hrs of the night.
I was perfectly happy at this hotel.
Very slow wireless , people who worked here was a bit too loud next to the rooms within the early mornings were talking, fixing something with a ladder
small room, but can tplain considering this price and location.
They could have had coffee pods 24 7, but nothing really major
The double living space I stayed in this time could have been a little bigger to include a small desk like within the bunk bed living space I had the last time.
Rooms are very small so be aware of that before booking. Good for single person or couple without much luggage.
The living space was super small, basically just the bed and 2 nightstands, I struggled to move around the living space having one backpack and one luggage - there were only 2 small drawers and 2 hangers, no wardrobe. The A C didn t work, didn t matter the temperature I set, it was freezing and only a very light duvet was provided - even if it was February! The living space is also super noisy, you can hear everything that is happening around - not the best if you would to sleep a bit more within the morning.
Door and or walls are a bit thin towards the hallway so one would hear the elevator. noise from outside or other rooms though.
The rooms were on the smaller side and a little tight with not enough space for storage.
The internet at the property ranges from very slow to borderline unusable, which is frankly unacceptable for an NYC hotel in 2019. The wireless code also changes each day, which is cumbersome for longer stays.
The living space was really small but I guess that s normal in hotels in NYC. Since there isn t any wardrobe, you will have to keep your clothes in your bags and there s not much space to open them, but the bed is tall enough that you can easily store the bag under it. Bear in mind that if you are carrying two luggages and two carry-ons it will get tighter. You can hear all the noise from the hallway: people walking, talking, carrying their bags, the noises from the elevator and there were two nights in a row in which there was a lady shouting within the hallways at 2am but the employees intervened at some point. The living space wasn t very clean when we arrived there was a lot of dust within the furniture and hairs on the bed and within the bathroom, but it got better during our stay

👍 I was given a huge corner room, which I really appreciated! The hotel is located in Chinatown right next to Bowery, so it s within the heart of downtown and I like that. It s convenient to many restaurants and shops. The rooms are clean, rates are good, employees are pleasant, and I was happy.
Excellent, all-you-can-eat buffet breakfast. Veryfortable, clean living space and great location - all areas in Lower Manhattan within walking distance. Helpful staff.
Nice location, you can walk to Soho, lita, Chinatown and Canal St.
Room was spacious. Bed wasfy. Eggs were delicious. Enjoyed the shredded cheese and salsa very much. Belgian Waffles were the best. It was so awesome that u had sugar free of cost syrup. Enjoyed the frest blueberries and banana slices.
Freindly helpful knowledgable employees on front desk. All employees friendly ladies at morning meal and housekeeping.
The hotel exceeded my expectations. The price was very affordable, the employees was friendly and helpful, living space was exceptionally clean, and the morning meal was delicious. highly rmend!
Thumbs-up to housekeeping especially the man, Lisa on the front work area and all the kitchen staff. The morning meal included provided a good way to fill up before a day walking around the CIty, and also saved cash. Very good at providing gluten-free bread each morning and dairy-free milk option just ask!. Also had gluten-free rice cereal available, but that and the milk both contained sugar : Hot drinks available throughout the day from the lobby area were very wee, extreamly when it snowed! The location was great for exploring downtown on foot. Also really near two Metro subway stations. Wholefoods 10 minute stroll away. Great, affordable restaurant options in Chinatown and the LES. Close to Soho for shopping.
It was very close to the event we were going to
Excellent breakfast. Comfortable room, bigger than it s often the case in NYC. Friendly staff.
Location is really great, close to Subway. Clean andfortable rooms. Delicious breakfast.
I really appreciated a stuff. People there was helpful and really nice. Their appartments are so big andfortable so you can enjoy it. And also a location is perfect. The hotel is close to the subway and it is located on the border between Chinatown and Little Italy so you can eat and in 2 different types of area.
location within the heart if chinatown, view, subway stations are 2 mins d and 5 mins away J,Z - these take you directly to and from jfk via jamaica, quite big room, nicely organized and no hassle luggage storage, good breakfast
Bed wasfortable. Breakfast was nice. Location was good.
Hotel easy to get to by subway- near many places to eat. Safe and clean hotel. Beds veryfortable. This is my 2nd stay. Will return
Excellent location, living space was large andfortable. Close to both Chinatown and Little Italy and great morning meal They held our luggage for us after checkout and organised a car service so we could explore NY a little more before we headed to Penn Station for the next part of our short trip
close to subway. Clean. Relatively good breakfast, although a little bit more variation is weed. Location. access to the hotel is secured during the night. living space and rest of the public areas are always clean.
Very friendly staff, nice structure and very good breakfast. They really take care about the morning meal food, looking always if there is somethin
👎 The morning meal is limited, but it s also free, so I can tplain about it.
Couldn t check-in till 4pm, which is a bit late.
The noise outside the living space was quite high within the street. I slept with earplugs- rmended if you are a light sleeper like me.
TV too small. Bacon wasn t thick and crispy. Sausage could ve been more browned. Need to have Vanilla flavored yogurt.
Secure door into living space corridor. pass code for ground floor entrance and lift, sometimes non residents waiting by elevators on ground floor to get out of the cold?!
A little noisy from outside traffic but nothing close to unbearable.
ise from other rooms banging talking TV etc. Even the TV from rooms across the hallway, not just adjoining rooms. Had toplain about noise from inconsiderate neighbours at 4am. Front desk employees regarding this matter at the time and the following morning were next to useless. Had to ask for earplugs. Room very dusty by the end of a week s stay. Although signage states plates bowls and cutlery all recyclablepostable, I was still very conscious of large amounts of conspicuous waste. The size of the living space was smaller than I expected, but still larger than most in NYC.
They had some type of translucent window between the bathroom and bedroom so when someone turned the light on within the bathroom within the middle of the night it was like they had turned the light on within the bedroom- it woke everyone up.
The lobby on the second floor rather than at street level
Mattress was too soft, not really good sleeping, also no fridge and microwave within the room.
heating - quite noisy and doesn’t keep the temperature stable. heats over set value and then stops and lets it cool down under set value. then the whole procedure repeats.
Walls are paper thin. Can hear everything in adjoining rooms. Even though hotel doesn’t allow smoking, the hall and even the living space reeked of it.
Minimal issue- no body gel or shampoo in shower area. Dispensers were empty. Luckily I had my own.
thing it was great
During checkout the person at the reception seems to be a bit directive and did not accept there was mistakes done on my invoice. they managed to fix the mistake after long minutes of discussion, they should better listen to customer and take care of the error intermediately. The rest of the employees is helpful, polite and friendly
The hotel is really nice, the only thing to improve is the cleaning of the room, specifically under the bed presence of some dust.
thing at all everything was great even when I was pass checkout the employees was very understanding and helpful
Could have used a mirror on the wall and a dresser. But really everything was wonderful
only thing is we were hoping to get a living space with a tub to soaked after a long day walked in Nyc.
Uber is not the deal that you are told it is by reception. I would go so far as to say that it is a rip off. Yellow cabs are almost half the price but the hotel only rmends Uber, otherwise they leave you to sort out your own transport.
It was quite old and not properly insulated so I could hear the sirens and traffic noise during the night
Very loud, doors slamming and someone across the street had a house party with music blaring until early hours of the morning and the employees to nothing to address it
The walls are too thin we can hear people using bathroom and walking within the hallw

100 Orchard Street, Lower East Side, New York, NY 10002, USA
👍 The cafe downstairs is convenient but you pay for it. The location is excellent.
Really cool architecture, spacious rooms with the bunk beds. Extremely nice bathroom. Staff helpful and polite. Love the location. Will book again!
The hostel is at a good location, near to Chinatown and Little Italy, walking distance to Brooklyn Bridge. I even walked to Battery Park for the Statue Cruises. The living space is really more than I expected. The bed is reallyfy, the bathroom inside the living space is very clean. They make up the bed and change towels each day. There are also a TV and a fridge. The heater and hot water work well. The coffee within the lobby is really good. I met very nice and friendly roommates.
The hotel is near Brooklyn and Williamsburg Brides and close to the subway station. The cafeteria is not open so you don t have that kind of service.
Good location. Easy to find. Close to public transit. Lots of places to eat very close to the hotel. There was a great coffee shop called Blue Bottle close by. Lots of good food options. The neighborhood is a nice mix of new and old.
The individual was very friendly and the location was great. Lots of genuine restaurants within the area.
The location. And the fact the bath features ashampoo and liquid body soap dispenser.
The location, bathroom and bedsheets cleaning service
You could see it use to be a decent hotel so the location is quite nice and everything is clean. furthermore the living space was bigger than what you would expect.
Precisely as advertised. Super price in a local area near transportation. Shared a living space with nice international travelers.
I love the blue moon for its hotel and professionalism. Rooms are clean and serve their purpose.
Hot water worked and the bathtub was nice. Great location also. Relatively quiet. Friendly employees and pretty clean.
The location is great. Near the subway and to many coffees and restaurants. The cleaning personnel was very friendly and amodating to your needs.
The hotel is okay for the price. It’s very clean the location is good.w the front employees is rude rude and have no people’s skills. These is not microwave for you to use. They don’t offer coffee either. Anyways is okay for the price.
Near Chinatown, Little Italy, Soho, and 9 11 Memorial. Near Metro stations, so you can go wherever you want.
The place is amazing! The rooms have names of famous people. The first time I have been there I was on the last floor and had even an amazing view. Over the weekend I stayed at a friend s place but I was happy to go back right after. I met amazing roommates and was never alone. The bathroom is within the living space so you don t have to share it with anyone but your roommates. I loved it.
I love this location
Good location andfort mattress.
It s very close to different lines of mta, and there are many good dinning options near by. Also, walking distance to Soho, Chinatown, close enough to NOLITA, and East Village if you feel like walking.Bathrooms were clean, bed sheets too. The employees was very helpful.
I liked the location and the fact that the bed wasfortable. The view from the living space was nice but overal i would never book here again.
Excellent stay. This is my second time here. I strongly rmend. The rooms are clean and confortable. The employees is nice and always available. And the Hotel is well located. Also subway station
👎 The shower water is a bit small but hot enough. The heater is not enough at midnight but you can ask for extra blanket. Every other things are good enough.
I wish I had a small lamp in my bed for reading and no need to bother other roommates.
Pictures on do not reflect reality. If you do not like Bunk beds there will be a prob. chairs within the room. Pricey 4bed dorm cf to other hostel options. Lower bunk bed with limited space to even to sit up. Service quality inconsistent depends on which reception you get. Hope to see the $50 refund in full amount in claimed 7 working days.
There were several issues that were concerning. When we arrived, there was broken glass on the floor near what used to be a coffee shop. It took 1Five-20 minutes for a maid toe and clean it up even though two hotel workers stood right there. One even pushed it to the side with his shoe. Secondly, it took about 15 minutes for them to get us checked in. Upon getting to the room, we realized that the pictures we saw did not quite match what we expected. It was a hostel setup with 3 bunk beds for myself, my wife, and our four kids. Part of that is on me that I did not read the booking closely. It said individual ensuite for 6. So, it was individual but did not have a queen for my wife and I. The door knob to the back section fell off. The shower only had one piece of the sliding glass door. So, half the shower was exposed. We also found small liquor bottles, old gummies, and a pair of workout pants within the room. It had not been cleaned well.
The beds within the mixed dormitory are bunk beds and not singles as portrayed within the pictures.
The only thing I can think of is the noise that the bathroom door did anytime you open it or close it.
The mattress smelled, I had to ask TWICE to remove it from it was impossible to sleep in such conditions. In a 6 bed dorm there were 4 micro-lockers. bed lamps, no plugs for high beds. Luggage living space within the basement left open and unattended, cafe at ground floor closed, no interesting shared areas, no kitchen facilities.
The owner was very rude and upassionate to a other guest she lost her bagage due a mix up with the cleaning individual furthermore I had to sleep with my clothes on because the window would close it was around 0 degrees Celsius There were heating controls within the living space but they were in a locked box so we couldn t turn it up. It made me think of a watered down version of that show hotel hell with Gordon Ramsey.
Bedding provided left something to be desired.
You can t always control your roommates in a hostel.
Child sized bunk beds that you can’t even sit up on. Flat ass lumpy pillows. Lockers to lock up valuables.munal kitchen. The cafe downstairs is empty also.
Most of the reception employees were unfriendly. The coffee house, that you can see within the photos, is closed giving a really sad atmosphere. The photo of the 4 beds´ living space has nothing to do with the one I took.
I would love it if they served breakfast. Anyway, we knew it from we reserved so it was ok. The cleaning service took one of our towel by mistake and even we report it on front work area 3 days before we leave, they didn t return it neither the original nor one of theirs. Very small boxes to keep your stuff.
I was cold at night - it could have used more blankets. Or was the window open a crack? I woke up a few times within the shared living space

👍 Very clean, looks brand new, great location only a five minute walk from time square and some of the iconic sights. Veryfy bed.
It was a good location, close to Times Square. The fitness center was nice and clean. The living space was fine and eclectic. I haven’t seen a shower like that. The hotel propose a car service from the hotel to the airport or airdrome but it’s a separate cost althoughparable to Uber or a taxi.
The location was excellent. I did not eat there. The living space was a bit small with not much closet space, but it was quiet and the bed was veryfortable.
Easy to reach by transportation, clean, empty gym. The employees at the reception waspetent, friendly and easy going. Highly rmend this hotel. Value
Friendly staff, great location short walk to times square, close to grand central for subway, empire state, Rockefeller and central park all a short walk away, excellent value for money
From the moment we walked in Ambree Made us feel super special. We were there celebrating a friend’s 50th birthday and that did not go unnoticed. A special delivery was made to her living space just to let her know how important she is. Also I was guest of the day and received a Sweet wee gift as well. From always greeting us with a smile to replacing a living space key when we displaced hours truly this was the best stay I have had in New York. That location is amazing the employees is great the rooms are perfect... Don’t wait book your vacation today !
Perfect location: 5 min walking from Times Square. Good ramen restaurant and more just next to the hotel entrance. Very friendly staff. Very clean and silent during night. Comfortable bed and spacious room. Ask for a living space facing the street: you’ll have a great view of the Rockefeller Center. 100% rmended!!
The rooms do not have carpeting and that’s a bonus for people with allergies. The bedding was clean and white. The bathroom is big. There is plenty of storage and free of cost WiFi.
The location was great. Very clean andfortable beds. The employees was wonderful!!! The front desk- Lorraine was exceptionally friendly! We asked to leave our bags until check in time, but she checked with housekeeping and let us check in early. Housekeeping is friendly. The living space was quiet andfortable and had a microwave, safe, coffee maker and hair dryer. Will definitely stay again.
Where do i start, once we arrived we were met by the kindest employees our rooms were so spacious and location was brilliant i have to say it was the best hotel i have stayed in and the service and cleanliness was second to none i will def being back thank you to all the employees for making our holiday so memorable.
I loved the present days look of the hotel. The bathroom was beautiful. The employees was extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel was very clean. The location was fabulous. I would highly rmend this hotel to anyone staying within the city.
Wonderful location, little noisy street and close to everything. the cleanliness of the hotel is excellent and the receptionists were very friendly with us. The living space amodated well 3 people, they offer coffee in a machine and mini conveniences. I would go back to it for sure
Staff was extremely professional and friendly. Location was great. We were close enough, yet far enough away from the business of Time Square. Room was very clean andfortable. Great value in a nice hotel.
It was clean, employees was very friendly and helpf
👎thing.... everything was great!
There was only one towel hook within the bathroom, seems sparse for a living space capable of sleeping 4. The water that came out of the water ice machine had a weird cloudiness to it but eventually settled. Although the hotel propose a car service to the airport, they didn’t say that it was a separate cost in cash we were under the impression that it would be charged to the room.
More closet space.
I liked this place, period.thing toplain about. I wille again next year.
nothing, everything was spot on.
I felt cheated and misled. They sold the living space as a double living space double bed for 4 people but it was a single living space with two small beds appropriate for 2 people. I had to buy a second room. Very unhappy.
The windows don’t open.
The light and the bathroom could have been a little bit brighter and the sink stuffed up a little bit so the water didn t drain easily.
Room was a bit small, but it was fine. The ice machine on our floor wasn t working. So, we had to go down 2 floors to get ice.t earthshattering but just a little inconvenient. The front work area said they would address the issue as soon as they could.
There was nothing that we were dissatisfied with!
There wasn t anything I didn t like. The website was very accurate. What was seen on the site is what was delivered. Very refreshing.
The parking. Never told the garage was one door down so when asked to pay for valet parking I just did. Could have driven my car and saved 49$. What a waist.
Didn t get cups and washcloths replaced within the living space a few of the nights but we made do.
Our living space did not have the greatest view but we were only there to sleep.
The rooms heater was noisy and rattly woke us up at night sometimes. Wifi kept disconnecting and required continuous logging in.
the coffee machine was really dirty like they don t clean the water tank AT ALL. I ve witnessed disgusting stuff in there and it got me yucky... The closet is very small, everything is kindapact, trying to fit all into a small room. Also the living space looks clean but i woke up with a bug crawling on my pillow smh.
I wish they had breakfast. The elevators were very packed af peak times and could be a wait. The hotel website says u can access the rooftop that needs to be updated because the rooftop is closed.
For a couple, the living space is perfect. For 3 or 4 persons, small... Weak lighs in room.
The view could of been better but this was a minor fault.
The only problem would have been the elevators. There was always a wait and took forever to get to our floor.
The refrigerator froze everything I put in it, I could find no way to run the coffee maker except to move it onto the floor near an actual plug, the fanned heating system was a bit noisy and the bedside lamps required that one get out of bed to turn them off. Small concerns, but if these could be fixed, the hotel would- in my estimation - be perfect.
There was a problem while checking in due to international credit card use. The machine didn t recognise the card and even if there was limit in it it declined.
Could offer food delivery; don`t work with taxipanies. Liked everything else.
There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.
The employees was unfriendly, overwhelmed, and seemed unhappy with their job. The rooms were extremely small... it can barely fit 3

👍 The location was perfect, both in terms of connections and the neighborhood itself. The hotel was clean, fortable and fun, with themed rooms, and the backyard must be nice within the summer time. Staff was very helpful.
morning meal is good, I like the apple. and Sunroom outside.
The employees was all super nice and very helpful. Check-in and check-out were easy. There was a good selection of morning meal foods. The location is awesome, within walking distance of loads of restaurants and attractions.
The employees was nice. The bed wasfy.
Location, cleanliness, decoration
Location is excellent. Good breakfast. Fun old Hollywood movie theme.
That the living space wasfortable. Also that the morning meal was good. Easy to get to with the Subway very close by. I liked that they had small chocolates within the lobby to eat. The snacks were very good. Overall, the employees was very good and feltfortable leaving my bag there while a living space became open and after check out until I came back to get it. Will stay here again if I can get a lower floor 1st or 2nd.
Location, breakfast, goodfortable temperature.
Clean, a few steps to the subway, friendly staff, nice breakfast.
Location was great, a few paces from the subway. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was reasonably spacious and the bedfortable. Nice character within the decor. Free morning meal was nice.
Employees were very helpful and nice. Good continental breakfast. Perfect location! Love the candy bowl.
This small hotel is a hidden gem. Decorated with classic movie posters, spacious rooms, updated bathrooms, great morning meal buffet. It s a block from subway stop, and close to the High Line.
just the location
Veryfortable small hotel, morning meal was good, our living space was clean and tidy when we returned each evening, the employees was pleasant and friendly very central with good transport links to main parts of city.
I loved the quirkiness of the decor. Each living space was themed with movie star posters - we were within the Lee Remmick living space - and there were beautiful old posters throughout the building. The employees was friendly and helpful and the morning meal bar was generous andprehensive. The location is super with most things being in walking distance and the 14th Street Metro Station a few metres away and a bus stop virtually outside the front door.
The bed wasfortable and the living space was clean. The Golden Age of Hollywood movie posters and decor was delightful. The indoor open-air sitting area was quaint. I enjoyed the morning meal spread. Very convenient access to the subway.
bed wasfortable and decor interesting movie posters and stars pictures. morning meal adequate.
The location is absolutely great. Chelsea Market is around the corner and the whole area is interesting, including the Highline. Metrostation is closeby. Bathroom is small but nice and efficient.
Fantastic location, steps from the subway and minutes to Chelsea Market, Meatpacking and Greenwich Village. Modest butfortable hotel with unique vintage movie star theme and lovely extra touches, like a bottomless chocolate bowl at reception.
While this is a no-frills, not fancy hotel property, the beds arefortable, the shower is hot with plenty of water pressure, and the place is spotlessly clean. The employees are weing, and overall experience was excellent. I would definitely stay there again when visiting
👎 The view from my living space was not great I thought it was supposed to be city view, but that may not be true for all rooms. Lack of elevator was not an issue for me, but may be for some.
the hotel is located good place, near my daughter s school. the first day, the heater had a problem, second days they fix soon.
This hotel is badly in need of a makeover, the whole place is a bit dingy and our living space was not especially clean. There was mold growing within the shower because the exhaust fan didn t work, carpet was dirty as were the sheets on the bed. The bed was old, lumpy and ufortable. The rooms are very small and in no way a Superior living space as was advertised. We told the employees that our shower door was broken when we arrived and they said they would send maintenance, but it remained broken and falling apart for our entire stay.
Despite being reassured 3 different times on making the res by talking directly to the checking employees at Chelsea Pines, before finalizing the . res that the living space wld be on second floor, our rm was on the 5th and no elevator ! Clearly bec they make less profit on ., so they stuck us despite knowing we are in our 70’s. Disgusting.
The living space and bathroom was cramped. The coffee was awful, not sure if we got a bad batch or if it s just brown water.
We probably needed a slightly larger room. One that would have night stands on both sides. Otherwisea very good experience. Good breakfast.
Staff was aloof, ran out of things, failure tomunicate information, inflexibility about check-in and morning meal times
Super hot, which is better than cold in January but the old style radiator heating temp is basically controlled by opening the window.
The yogurt was a little warm, should be cold which I pointed out and the worker did fill two buckets of ice to put the yogurts in. Climbing four flights of stairs isn’t fun.
The furnace within the living space was very loud and made it difficult to get to sleep. Would maybe offer guests some ear plugs in future?
The living space is small, but it shouldn t be a problem if you just go to sleep there. Caution: 5 floors and no elevators.
Air conditioner was turn on automatically at 6am and make a disturbing whine.
The 5 story walk up. Was hoping for a living space not on the high floor but was on the 5th. Carpet could use an update.
There is no elevator, but the employees is prompt to assist with luggage.
the AC within the living space was making too much noise like a old Chevy engine. although we were on the 5th floor you hear everything happening on the street because of poor old windows. the ac system is terrible ! you pay a fortune to sleep in a hostelfort ! better go to a hostel !
There wasn’t anything to dislike really. If pushed, I’d have to say that those stairs are a bit formidable if you have heavy luggage. The employees helped us with ours.
The young man at reception was not very hosting and never cracked a smile, unfortunately. I wish there had been eggs, even hard boiled, for breakfast. The lighting within the living space was okay but the dimmers didn t dim like they should. The walk up the stairs is certainly not for anyone with health issues or the handicapped.
no elevator, took a while to get to living space on 5th floor! employees helpful with suitcase.
I wouldn t know how to get out in case of fire. Higher floors are definitely not rmendable for people above a certain age.<b
The Chelsea Pines Inn is a unique bed and morning meal hosting guests in Chelsea and the Meatpacking District. The five-story walk-up gives 2For-hour concierge services and is 5 minutes’ walk from the Highline Park.
318 West 22nd Street, Chelsea, New York, NY 10011, USA
👍 Wow. Perfect European charm in a super clean, super friendly, wonderfullyfortable setting. The terrace is an oasis retreat from the city, and the decor is cheerful, warm, and inviting. And though I didn t spend time in theirmon room, I could easily imagine sitting by the window, enjoying coffee, reading a good book. I feel like I found a super gem of a hotel and will be back!
Location was convenient for our needs - out of the way of tourist areas and very walkable.Breakfast was great - coffee, tea, bagels and other breads, and plenty of fresh fruit. Happy hour was a bonus!
Great location, living space was clean. Very close to subway at 23rd--line 1 red line. The morning meal was nice to have as most places charge extra for it. Even though we had a shared bathroom, we never had to wait long.
We moved to a much better living space suite the second night of our stay and had a much better experience! Very spacious andfortable. Full kitchen and living living space and a king bed.
Great location and friendly staff.Breakfast was good, nice idea having happy hour. Great value for cash for the location. Will definitely be back.
Nice interior and exterior of the building, true bed and morning meal feel within the middle of ManhattanThe neighborhood is interesting. I did not like Chelsea in general, but after this stay I started to enjoy the areaHappy hour!
Great location. Can walk to anywhere from here. The downstairs lounge is also quite cozy and the entire property is absolutely charming.
Location is the key for this property, it is in a good part of Chelsea with nearby train service. Really friendly and helpful employees that I really liked. Nice breakfast. Very quiet with old plaster walls; it s very nice to find quiet in Manhattan. I had a Superior Queen living space so I had a individual bath and living space to open my suitcase.
The living space was nice and clean. The hotel is located centrally to downtown Manhattan within the Chelsea area just outside. We could walk almost everywhere. Breakfast was offered and happy hour was free.
Our living space was very clean, the morning meal had something for everybody bagels, eggs, pancakes and more! The employees were very helpful with all our questions! and the location was walking distance to everything! Can t wait toe back to stay here ! Thank you everybody at Colonial House Inn !!! <3
It was clean! It was safe! 24 desk service! Could leave your living space key at the desk and be buzzed in. NICE!
Location! The housekeeping is impeccable -- clean crisp sheets, great towels, though I would like an option to use a card or other way to indicate I d like to reuse my towel, to be less wasteful. Breakfast is good, happy hour too!
It’s a quaint cosy place, but with so much personality. Rooms are modern, essentials, but very clean! Tony at reception is absolutely lovely, as also the rest of the staff, but he is especially great! Shared bathroom was always spotless clean and usually available.Breakfast was fabulous, it doesn’t have infinite choices, but plenty of fruits, cereals, freshly baked bagels, muffins.. etc location is within the middle of Chelsea, I was there for work but if you are a foodie there are plenty of cute restaurants.. not as trendy as East Village, but pretty and safe.. Guests were well mannered and not much noise at night. I would definitely go back there, actually from now on, this is going to be my favourite amodation in NY.
A quirky but delightful establishme
👎 I expected a small living space - this is New York City after all, but the living space was overheated with little or no circulation, so being small made the living space even stuffier. It would been nice to be able to control the heat and ventilation.
Some of the employees could be a bit friendlier and more helpful. The bathroom could have been a bit cleaner too.
The first night of our stay we had a living space on the 3rd floor that was tiny and very cold. The bed was against the window and there was no insulation so it was like sleeping in a tent. Luckily the larger living space suite was available for our second night.
Room is small, but it is usually expected in Manhattan, so not a big dealThe stairs is old and steep, it may be difficult to move your luggage upstairsOverall the interior looks old-fashioned, and some may not like it
Shared bathrooms in general aren’t that attractive but they’re kept quite clean so it’s not too big of a deal. The smallest rooms are only good for one person or 2 people with no luggage. Otherwise suggest booking the larger rooms. elevator.
It is an old brownstone, with the negatives that apany it. Small rooms, no elevator, no air conditioning, steam heat that I couldn t control, etc. I had to open the window extremely difficult to get any fresh air or air movement no fan. Also, the window shades did not run the full length of the window--they stopped a foot short, with no drapes. Lighting was dim. coffeemaker, though coffee was always available on main level.
NO FREE PARKING available, which is wrongly stated on the site. The mini fridge was stuck in a closet causing it to overheat and it didn’t keep anything cold due to it. The window wasn’t locked when we got to our room. The heat cant be controlled from the living space itself.
The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything within the rooms near yours. The stairs are a killer.
There was no heat control in my living space -- it s central heating -- so I was chilly one night because the window was drafty.
There was a mixed up with my room, which I was not happy about extreamly because I was there for work. The rooms are already quite small in size to start with and I was asked to move to a different living space on the second day, and I ended up in a even smaller one where I could hardly move around as I have lots of equipment. I was quite ufortable, but lucky only for 2 nights. Tony was really nice and tried to sort it out as he could. I would have preferred a individual bathroom, but I have to say that the shared one is so clean that it worked out, the kind of guests here were respectful and everybody left the bathroom clean. The second tiny living space was also really cold, not sure if a draft within the window ..
My room’s tv did not work-although who goes to NYC to sit in their living space watching television?
Actually there wasn t anything that I couldn t find that I didn t like. And that s a really. Good thing.
The first living space was tiny, noisy and withou individual bathroom. Wife left to go sleep elsewhere!!! Asked for different living space for 2nd night with bathroom. Upgrade cost extra $150. Overall pricey and littlefort.
Hotel does not have an elevator.body offered to carry bags uphill narrow brownstone staurcases.isy and old AC within the window. Doors and walls are old noisy.
We were initially allocated a living space that was very small but described as a superior room. We were moved on request and
