149 East 39th Street, Murray Hill, New York, NY 10016, USA
👍 The employees was very nice, and they are flexible if you have to extend your stay a few more days.
Well located and the rooms are spacious andfortable.
Functional Appartment. Friendly staff. Very convenient lpocation. Everything you need to be able to concentrate on work.
according to the price best choice in Manhattan, everything was enough good. Thank you for the all workers for their kind behaviours during my familys 1,5 month stay. Also my wife was pregnant, everything was more sensual : Close to everything, good bussiness main center inside, clean rooms, meaningful prices, good and helpfull behaviours. My all family get satisfied with this hotel.
Great location, close to Grand Central Station and other touristic points at midtown east in Manhattam. Staff was very helpful and supported us on everything what we needed during our staying. We strong rmend staying at this property!
Amazing location and nice and helpful staff

Great location, nice rooms with all the necessary amenities and very friendly and helpful staff.
This hotel it´s really old, not updated but has its charm!thing has been done for many many years. But its was clean and tidy. The employees is friendly! The bed was actually reallyfortable for me. I booked a suit and its really airy. Two TV, one within the bedroom and one within the living room. Value for cash based on the space.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Self catering kitchenette and utensils. Large bed. Small but essential fitness center to allow for some workout. Convenient location Murray Hill Midtown East. Close to Grand Central.
Lovely vintage style yet reallyfortable with fully furnished rooms, heard that many guests are long-staying travellers. The employees is really nice and helpful. Besides, the central stop is just 6 min s walk away, thus convenient to different metro lines. Also walkable to 5th ave and Empire State Building.
Appartmentfortable and large given New Yorks usual standards. All employees very friendly and helpful. Daily maid service who were more than happy to deal with any requests. Location was great with only a few walk to Times square and Grand central station.
Location is excellent if you want to explore Manhattan. The price is reasonable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Suite was spacious. Your own kitchen. Laundry room. Small but nice fitness room. Hd tv with cable.
Safe and secure. Perfect location.
Having stayed here before, albeit 15 years ago, nothing had changed but in a good way. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable employees who were brilliant. The suites are exceptional as is the location. Right between Grand Central Station and the Chrysler Building - perfect!
Denise Coatesville paI took my granddaughter to new your for the first time we stayed here at Murray Hill Nicest people you ever want to meet from the door man to the front. loved our living space it was nice and spacious That is my place to stay each time Ie to New York
Stayed here for our new year s eve adventure at Times Square. It was the great location----easy walking to the Square, tons of cute eateries on the way, and a employees that was outstanding! Loved it!
Good Location. Safety: My daughter stayed there for a month all alone and felt very safe and secure!
Everything is Excellent
Lots of room
A large amount of living space by New York standards. Staff were very helpful.
The location is excellent however considering the location it is quiet. It is easy to find all your necessities locally.
Friendly service and great location.
Service and support was really good. I liked the place.
Good location, living space veryfortable, new doorman very helpful and friendly.
The door man from Armenia - and the rooms
Friendly, helpful staff.
👎 I reserved a king bed room, and it did not went like that. It was kind of disappointing.
A further stay was rejected, probably because it is going to be less than the 30 days minimum stay.t very flexible given that my first stay was 30 days.
Minor points: the washing machines and dryers within the basement do not always work 100%.
The wardrobes in my living space were not clean
Air condition was broke for two weeksapartment needs to be redone
There was no restaurant at the premises. However the location is full of alternatives within the neighbourhood.
The Wi-Fi is not so good at certain times.
They charge on the first day for the hole stay and if you have to leave,it does not matter which date you leave, still the don t refund the money. Awful cleaning, the place has unresolved electric issues and they don t care. If you claim them to fix something they laugh at you. Wifi does n t work propperly, you have to reconnect each 10 minutes and its impossible to work like that And honestly it shows at first sight they don t invest within the place.
Wi-Fi within the room. But within the lobby. power within the shower.isy fridge
Wifi in living space is notplimentary, though is available within the lobby.
A little bit of street noise however soon got used to it so didn t disturb
t very clean and it had an old funny smell. We had to clean the bathroom before we could use it. The living space decor and furniture is outdated but at least is well maintained. Very noisy even with the windows shut. At 12am, each night, for 1hour the garbage truck makes a lot of noise.t well ventilated, you could smell everything from other rooms. Cmon guys, is the 21st century... Add some fans to the bathroom and the kitchen ventilation holes! Also, how can you cook anything if you have no hood fan over your cooker. The fire alarm started each time we made some eggs or toast... Eventually we wrapped the sensor in a plastic bag. Wifi is very unstable and slow. You have to enter the credentials each time, even if your phone or laptop goes to sleep mode. The sheets are ok but the blanket is horrible. I don t want to offend anyone s religious beliefs but the Bible within the drawer next to your bed sends a very old and highway motel vibe. We didn t mind because we are Christians, but is not ok to impose on guests that have a different religion. You are in Manhattan after all.
We had a weekend were wireless had issues but the managed to get it fixed the next Monday. Streets could be noisy during peak hours.
negative feedback..... experience was great!
Slow or no response on mail
Maybe the noise, but it is Manhattan
Internet did not always work well
Internet can be improved. Outages from time to time
The cleanness was poor

👍 The location! nice neighborhood. between 5th st and Broadway, 5 minutes walk from Union Square, you can take the subway from here.. Nearby Soho en the Village.
the only good thing about this apartment is it has WiFi.
Right within the exciting part of town... good restaurants and stores near by.
Afortable place with lots of room. It felt like we were at home.
👎 Communication with the host was poor, not customer friendly Badmunication about everything. Deposit of 950 dollar was a lot voor the stuff that was within the appartment . clean towels during the week, no extra blankets. we paid 400 dollar a night. It did not feel fine.
1. The apartment is much smaller than expected. Probably 500 sqft. 2. The bed is small. Full sized. Two grown adults will have a difficult time sleeping together on the bed. 3. Bugs. We got a lot... over a dozen big bites each over a four day period. 4.t much value as we were paying about $400 per night all in. 5. You can hear each step the people upstairs are making.
Everything was perfect!!

👍 Lovely spacious apartment with great facilities and very friendly host . Yolanda gave us all needed information at the begining of our stay. The subway is a one block away within 2 min. walk from the apartment. Very safe and quiet area. Don t hesitate just book before is too late.
This was one of the best amodations we ever had. The owner was very nice and helpful. The amodation is beautifully decorated and very very spacious. It was just perfect.
How lovingly this amodation has been restored keeping within the character of the house. Huge space that is spotlessly clean including bedroom bathroom, shared lounge diner and kitchen, we stayed within the green room. Yolanda is very kind and thoughtful, there was bread, milk fruit, tea coffee, butter jams etc supplied on our arrival. She offered lots of advice with regards to the area, places to visit and restaurants and arranged for a taxi to take us to JFK on our return to the UK. Subway is only 2 blocks away 5min walk excellent. Would highly rmend staying at HomeNYC, hopefully one day we will return
Even though morning meal was not included within the price, the kitchen was so well stocked that we husband wife daughter had a varied and nutritious morning meal for all six days. The apartment itself was extremely spacious, the garden was pretty and the heritage feel of the whole place made us feel that we never wanted to leave.
Yolanda and her Assistant, Crystal, were very gracious. HOME NYC is located in a trendy section of Harlem, NY -- Only steps away from the 116th St. Subway Station. I look forward to returning to HOME NYC within the very near future :!!!Cheers,Reginald
Love the hospitality shown by Yolanda and her employees member. She is very available to provide assistance brought us a pack n play for our granddaughter to use . The rooms are always so pretty, clean, and ready to go on arrival
Everything. Huge living space and bed. Walk in wardrobe. Large effective shower in large effective bathroom, bath if required. Common area well furnished and stocked shared only with one other couple. Breakfast food provided. Lots of info. Subway to city is three minutes walk away with express trains to downtown. Interesting area in a good way. Lots of helpful friendly people.
very individual and very quiet... Only 2 rooms with largemon areas and a very nice garden for guests. It was really really clean! Only 2 short blocks to 116th st. subway station..very fast to Times Square with only 3 or 4 stops. It is appropriately named Home!!
Outstanding base to explore NYC. Spacious living living space Kama kitchen, dining room.. large bedroom and bathroom. Excellent Wi-Fi throughout the house. Great location just too short blocks from the subway. Quiet garden and Patio area within the back of house.
Clean, convenient to subway, safe. Yolanda was there to wee and orient us. Offered snack and a beer. Morning coffee and muffin were available. She mailed me my forgotten sunglasses.
Yolanda is sensational at making your stay warm, weing, andfortable. She is a gem!
Yolanda took such great care of us, it was like staying with a favorite aunt. The living space was superb and we were in that gigantic bathtub each single night, thawing from the cold. The kitchen has everything we could wish for, and the location was great for our tour of Columbia University. We did not want to leave, ever.
👎t applicable. We didn t dislike a thing.
thing. I haven t rated anything as 10 before to my recollection. This is an excellent facility in a city transformed from I visited 30 years ago. Go!
I loved everything! The architecture of the home is beautiful and historic. Lovely visit!
After you fill within the jacuzzi, the hot water features atendency toe to an end, it takes some hours for the boiler to make more hot water. The overall available amount is enough two of us have never reached the limit with normal bathing, it d just be okay to know the limit in advance.
thing, everything was great :-
thing at all!
I honestly cannot think of anything that we didn t like.
Everything was great for us, we enjoyed staying here and would happily return.
This amodation is absolutely great for two couples travelling together, as one bathroom is en-suite but the other is located next to the bedroom. That said, some guests may look forward to meeting new people!
The heat was difficult to regulate
Bed was very creaky
thing, everything met our expectations.
Heating should have been set at higher temperatures
I had to pay $50 for cleaning extra, couldn t found that within the hotel conditions.
thing really - the location isn t central Manhattan but we knew that when booking and we enjoyed it for a change to a tiny hotel room.
thing to dislike
In, restrospect, didnt like having to share the house with other guests but was well aware of this before booking. there was a situation where the other guests didnt lock the apartment door when leaving the building, only time I felt vulnerable
I d have to work very very hard to find a negative.
thing! Would love to stay here again.
negative experiences at all, but be aware: it is no hotel, but a very luxurious appartment. So best thing is to let Yolanda know when you arrive, so the living space is ready and she is there to hand over the keys.
1. Poor WIFI on the bathroom of the garden room. 廁所wifi訊號微弱。2. Room is dark, poor lights. 花園房裡的燈全開還是很晦暗，感覺不是很舒服。3. GardenRoom is big but feel empty, take the living space without garden, it is much morefortable, although the bathroom is outside the room. 花園房過大，傢俱不多，有冷冷的空曠感；沒有花園的房間比較好，雖然其廁所在房間門房外，但整體感覺舒適很多。4. Only 6 TV channel. TV is too small for the big room, the TV size is just likeputer monitor. 電視頻道只有六台，而且節目很難看，電視非常小，應該只有22吋左右，看的很吃力。4. It feels like the living space is within the basement, because the entrance of the building is on the second floor, you have to going down to reach the rooms. 房間讓人感覺是在地下室，亞洲人是有點忌諱住在地下室的；由於建築物大門入口在二樓，兩間房間落在一樓，但進去房子後要往下走，會感覺房間像在地下室。5. elevator. Hard to carry big luggage through stairs. 下房間的樓梯很陡又窄，扛大行李下樓梯非常吃力。6. Shower head is fixed on the wall, not convenient to use. 蓮蓬頭固定在牆上無法移動，洗澡不方便，有些地方很難沖到。7. Extra charge of cleansing fee for usd 50 in cash, but they don t clean the living space or change towels during your stay, you have to ask for it. 額外收現金清潔費50美金，但住的幾天期間從來沒有打掃過，收這錢不太有道理。8. Close to subway, but noisees with the subway passing by, not a good choice for people who is hard to fall asleep . 離地鐵站很近，不時有地鐵經過的震動聲音，淺眠的人會很困惱，好睡的人不礙事。平均住一天總費用230美金，這樣的花費下次我會考慮住在時代廣場附近，比較方便也節省交通時間。
thing really bad ... only I am concerned that it must be difficult to get a living space here during a high season, as she has only two rooms to am

👍 Love the atmosphere in this hotel! The bedroom are contemporary and the beds are superfortable. All the employees go out of their way to make you happy. It s within the great location. My favourite hotel in New York!
Great location, friendly service, extremely well kept rooms and excellent housekeeping. We were able to extend our stay at the same rate.
The prizes they ask do not reflect the quality the hotel should be. It s way to expensive. It s old and tired, very nineties and the rooms look like post- operation recovery rooms in a hospital.
The location was perfect, great food, the employees very helpful and the rooms are very quite because of quadruple glazing!
The amodations are clean, serene, fortable and quietly luxurious. The location is within the midst of one of the most interesting and vibrant neighborhoods within the city.
Very nice location. Restaurant is amazing.
Location. Staff is excellent.
Was pleasantly surprised to find the employees so hosting on such a late arrival on a dreary night. Our living space was lovely and cozy. Staff was exceedingly helpful and friendly.
Take it or leave it. They cater to celebrities. The reservation manager Ben had horridmunication skills and didn’t care less that the hotel and booking. had booked me with a certain living space type... tried to downgrade me and made no efforts to ensure I was slightly happy.
As soon as I pulled up there was someone already to help. I asked about a bigger living space and poof!! It was done. High ceilings, gorgeous doors going out to our own courtyard. Met my expectations and more, which is hard to do. I’m picky and have worked within the hospitality business for 28 years. It’s new and fresh atmosphere was just what we were looking for. It was amazing!! I can’t wait toe back!
We liked the hotel, its architecture and decoration
The size of the room, the sheets, Linen, the Christmas tree very Scandi, the staff, so friendlyhelpful. I aming back each year same time with more people. This short trip we had 3 rooms.
The employees in general was very professional . Especially the concierge service , people were very helpful and nice . you can easily feel home food is good
Extremely friendly and amodating staff
Amodations, front work area employees concierge exceeded expectations. Room bed sofortable. Cool, Soho vibe. Very Private. Loved the lobby design. Felt like home in Soho
Room was clean and minimalist in decor. There was plenty of closet space but little drawer space. Room faced Prince Street but was quiet and the windows had light blocking shades which could be lowered automatically. Staff very helpful, friendly, and amodating. I will stay there again.
Decor is minimalist but each element is luxurious and well-designed from the sheets to the towels to the soap to the stationery. The employees is incredibly friendly and service-oriented.
Friendly service, taking care of the guests in all circumstances.
I met a man called Juan, from Colombia, that has worked there for quite some time. The gentleness in is nature was a plus to us.
Every night they deliver water to your room.
It was fantastic! Can’t wait to go back Our suite was stunning!
Excellent service and very cozy quiet
Wonderful staff, great location
Location, location, location.
Great staff, great location. Ha
A little bit expensive.
The rooms could do with an update.
This was my second stay at The Mercer. The first stay last year was perfect. This year, the service was uneven to say the least. The front work area and housekeeping employees were great but I had a living space service experience that was weird, hostile and ufortable, enough so that I question the judgment of the hotel s hiring policies and unacceptable enough that I will never book a living space here again and would not rmend to anyone else. Additionally, the doormen seem more interested in checking out the lively scene around the hotel than within thefort of the guests.
Very expensive for what it is offered. Hotel does not support credit cards just with chip, but just magnetic stripe.
Price and . did not have a good price on this hotel. Lighting within the hotel and the living space was very poor. You can’t see the floor numbers to push within the elevator and a woman might have trouble putting on her makeup with the living space lighting.
t a thing!
The hot water within the living space didn t work at times. The ice cold draft spreading inside from either entrance door - lobby or restaurant - when being opened is not acceptable for a hotel of that level.
Maybe and only Maybe, because I am used to Irish hotels, you can get a drink 24 7 within the lobby. Minor inconvenience.
Hotel was so hot and there AC within the room. So to let cooler air within the living space you had to open the window. Then it was ridiculously noisy. Staff was loud within the corridors at all hours starting at 5am and lack of carpet meant sound was amplified.
Disgusting stain on theforter Was charged $108 for breakfast2 veggie omelettes no cheese. Side of turkey bacon. And two almonds milk lattes. Almost fell on the floor. Small room
The service is not up to the standard of the food.ne of the employees took any time to explain the food, and absolutely a zero on the wine service -- the lady barely knew how to pour a glass of wine. Management should seriously consider properly training their service team to do the food justice.
Although the restaurant at the hotel was highly touted, our experience was not up to expectations; service was slow at the beginning and our appetizers were sent to the wrong table. I would have refused the plate if it had been set down in front of a person at another table. Wait employees and desk employees seemed indifferent. Fish dishes were dry and items overpriced.
A few small mix-ups within the bar restaurant and from the service desk, a bit unworthy of a five-star hotel, although everything was corrected swiftly and properly.
Unfortunately, the renovation of the building but understand that it is necessary.
This hotel is promoted as a high-end really good hotel, starting with how much they charge per night. In reality we payed $600 per night for a very small room, with a small bed and poor lightning, it is definitely not worth what they are asking for.
housekeeping could have been cleaner
option for a coffee in room
thing really I can think of
Room too small
Bad serviceAnd unfriendly staff
Small room, ufortable bed, ugly furniture. Unpleasant experience.
kettle, tea cups within the room.
Mercer kitchen was expensive and food was good not great
I booked a Courtyard living space but got one over the street. I m british so didn t get it swapped !
Located in Soho, this luxury hotel is a Five-minute walk from Washington Square Park and Little Italy. It features 2For-hour concierge service and loft-style rooms.
👍 Beautiful and cozy. Felt like it had a lot of soul and character, but very clean and everything was in great condition. Honestly just having access to the pool pool area our whole stay was worth it alone.
I have stayed in many hotels around the world but this is certianly one of the best. I love the level offort and quality within the living space - for example proper sized soaps rather than fiddly little soaps and bottles within the bathroom, snacks and drinks to assist yourself too, great quality bed and linens. My husband and I really enjoyed spending within the lounge and spa. In addition the service was really excellent.
Second time we’ve stayed there. It’s an oasis of calm and we just melted when we got there as it just features achilled homey vibe. We’d just spent 2 nights elsewhere in New York but nothingpares....
Very nice property with prime location. Courteous employees and nice restaurants close by.
Everything was pretty close to perfection, the employees polite, discreet and well chosen, awesome breakfast, good restaurant, amazing gym, the bed giant and the linens like they should be, bathroom was so cool and nice itpletely exceeded my expectations, not to mention the cleanness and attention to detail. I loved all theplimentary snacks and minibar as well as all the efforts to try to make you feel taken care and everything you might need, finally, the spa is really nice and the treatments highly rmended.
Good location within the pedestrian-friendly Tribeca SoHo area. Very nice open-air courtyard where it was cozy to sit and have morning meal or an afternoon drink. Comfy lounge areas. Helpful and courteous front-desk staff. Tranquil spa with pool. Our living space was pretty small but its wonderful balcony made up for that.
Amazing location. Great amenities. Basket of snacks that was refilled daily for no charge. Free non-alcoholic drinks in minibar. Wonderful soaking tub with bath salts!
This was one of the most hosting hotels we have ever stayed at, nothing was too much trouble. It was a special short trip for my sons 13th Birthday and they helped me organise everything.
The place was excellent anding at Christmas, it was magical. Both my husband and I are designers, so we really appreciated the interior decor - it was stunning.
Room had beautiful antique-like wood and copper furniture. It was personalized - with interesting books on shelf and other nice details - to feel warmer and more weing. The deep marble bathtub filled up in less than 60 seconds - amazing. The spa is outstanding. We also spent a lot of time within the individual lounge, by the fireplace.
This is the best Hotel. I have 2 million Starpoints. The service and set-up are outstanding. Everything is highly personalized. This is the equivalent of working from home.
This is not my first time staying at the Greenwich. I love this hotel . Great for solo travelers.,Feels veryfortable, nothing impersonal. Beautiful unique rooms. Wonderful living lounging area for guests.. like being in afortable living room. The service excellent. Friendly staff. A unique hotel.
Awesome Boutique Hotel connected to one of the best restaurants in New York. Locanda Verde. The small bar within the hotel is excellent. Rooms are all uniquely decorated, excellent beds and great amenities. It s a total gem - expensive - but worth the splurge.
Top floor is spectacular as an intown special gathering place.
👎 I really cannot find anything toment on.
On arrival the check in procedure was v efficient but lacked the friendly warm arrival we remembered. Having said that - that was the only day we felt like that just a note as first impressions count so much.
Sat down for morning coffee and morning meal within the open air courtyard, but was asked to move inside due to table being previously reserved, there was no reserved sign posted, the table that I was to be moved to then became occupied prior to me being seated. Was finally seated within the lobby area lounge. When the rest of the family came down, we decided to venture out and have morning meal elsewhere that morning.
The only negative about my stay this time were the restaurant bar service. There were lots of servers, but they were all just standing around and very inattentive. The other employees were awesome... extreamly the front work area and bellmen.
The hotel s associated restaurant, Locanda Verde, handles the morning meal service and we also had dinner there. In both cases the food was below expectations and below what we are used to at 4 to 5 star establishments. The acoustics at the restaurant are also pretty bad when it is full within the evenings; you have to shout to keep up a discussion.
I think the foyer lets the hotel down, wasted space behind a screen not used. The buzz and warmfort is within the guest lounge which is lovely but more could be done with the open area by reception to bring life to the first entrance into the hotel.
I think there could be a bit more selection within the morning meal menu, specially with meat.
Location is in Tribeca, which is OK, but not super central.
down side. Everything worthwhile features aprice. The price is reasonable on a value basis.
Needed a good make up mirror and good bright lighting for make up. Hooks are always wee to hang clothes towels robes etc within the bath living space and bed room. a towel heater to dry out clothes and incidental laundry would be great.
everything was perfect. This was my second stay.
Love the Shibui Spa, but the pool wasn t heated this time.
Sometimes had to look for employees within the bar area and the table the hotel reserved for us in its own restaurant wasn t the best they did move us but it was a wait
I had a corner living space facing the street on the second floor, the street was very noisy all night and extreamly early morning with rubbish trucks and repairs people. The shower has this weird switch between the hand held and rain shower head, hard to know when you try to switch one off and I kept being rain showered with freezing water each time I was trying to turn the shower off. Would love, dare I say it, a more orthodox and healthy morning meal option.
I only wished for a coffee maker or Nespresso within the room.
thing. Loved the entire experience
Worst value for cash of any hotel I have stayed in.
the french door to the outside did not open
Lack of bath given price was disappointing.
Some of the staff.
Loved each aspect.
Very difficult to access toilet. Charge forMorning coffee
thing, it was perfect.
Thought the chap in Locanda Verde was a little abrupt when my husband wanted to move a bar stool so that he could sit with me and my daughter.
For the price, not having the possibility to get
This New York City hotel is located within the city’s elite Tribeca neighborhood. It features an underground pool and fitness center, as well as an on-site restaurant and spa.
👍 The shower was absolutely amazing, the bed was reallyfortable. Fantastic location
Great location. Easy to get too from JFK. toiletries teas and coffees topped up daily. Lovely clean towels and facilities. Brilliant value for cash for such a great location
Very clean. Staff were quick and friendly. Rooms were very well furnished and veryfortable. Free tea and coffee which is great. You have a fridge and a cooker so can have morning meal and lunch there if you wish. Location is amazing. I’ve stayed in NYC 4 times and this has been the best location.
i like that its not a noisy super over crowded waiting game like other hotels mainly because in my opinion the employees is efficent in processing customers quickly and accuratly and professionally.
This property is around the corner from Time Square. It is walking distance to theaters, many tv studios, ice skating and shopping on 5th Ave. the property was very clean, rooms, halls and lobby. Staff was very helpful. Restaurants all around the hotel.
The property was immaculate and all necessities provided. The employees was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again and rmend it to friends.
It was a bit small for 5 adults could do with being modernised a bit, great location, spotless clean, very friendly employees no problem answering questions for us. Would rmend to others.
Kitchen facilities:- nice touches such as 2 x trays of ice cubes in freezer, coffee tea faculties, Wash up liquid tea towel etc! Toasties diner next door is excellent and v reasonable!
Location was really nice, the size was enough to fit 4 people, and I liked that they had almost a full kitchen
Great living space and location for the price. Within walking distance of central park, Time Square and the subway to get to farther away places.
Was upgraded to a one bedroom apartment which was very spacious.
The location is perfect, very close to the time square, the high of Rock and the subway. The living space is big with a queen size and soft bed. And with a kitchen and refrig, you can cook for yourself. By the way, the pasta of the neighbour Italian restraund is delicious.
Perfect location and value. $40 per day parking in an enclosed garage. 2 blocks from Wicked show and 1 block from Radio city, subway, and times square. lovely kitchenette. Our second time here and will keep returning. New wallpaper being installed.... can t wait to see the finished product.
Great location - just far enough from the middle of Times Sq but still very close. Staff were attentive but did not intrude. Could open the windows so you could really hear all the sounds of New York.
We were swiftly upgraded to a bigger living space than originally bookedfree of charge when asking about different roomtype. Staff extremely responsive, and super friendly. Location is superb. 2 minute walk from times square, and in walking distance of each major tourist attraction in NYC.
Clean and surprisingly quiet for NYC
Room clean well appointed lots of space in one bed apartment. Excellent location.
I loved the location and great value of this property. We arrived early and were able to stow our bags. We were two people in a double living space which was quite small but had a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, placing settings and utensils, everything we needed. The bed spreads could be updated as there were some stains but overall we had a great night sleep and the bathro
👎 The construction work started at 7am, once you’re planning to have an early start it’s not a problem I guess!!!
The lift is a little slow and the lobby is kind of small but I’m knit picking.
really have noplaints but if one would be a better business office
I’ll start by saying that even with these cons I still rmend this hotel. There is construction behind the hotel all night and echoed off the buildings even though our living space was within the front. The hotel was going to move our living space but within the end we just got ear plugs and that worked great. The hotel is refurbishing the halls so there was a lot of noise from 10am til 5pm. They have radiator heat so it is difficult to regulate. We just turned it off the first day because it was so hot. The bathroom has no heat so and we had to close the door against the noise and light at night so morning shower were in a cold room. Hot water within the shower was inconsistent so we had some luke warm showers.
Unfortunately there was construction work going on right next to our apartment but nothing against them for this, apartments need to be updated a bit and small radiator made clunking noises when going on.
Construction noise across street from 7am weekdays
There was a weird smell within the hallway. Building was kind of old but I expected nothing more from New York.
Beds weren tfortable and sheets were scratchy.
The property is well placed at Times Square but there is construction building works right behind the property, to which drilling and hammering starts before 0700h.t good when trying to catch up on sleep after travelling overseas the night before. Checkin was a bit grainy... the front work area receptionist was not the friendliest and then the property charges a $250 deposit on the price of the living space as a smoking deposit, to ensure no one will smoke in their rooms. I am a non-smoker, and dtated this fact. I am staying on my own and was offended at the mistrust and oppressive deposit policy. Granted I should be returned the $250 deposit as I do not and have not smoked within the property, the price of a $120 living space ended up costing me well over $350 for the night at checkin. This does not happen at other hotels properties and I was quite taken aback by this. The carpet floor within the living space itself was not hovered and contained bits throughout. Granted the bathroom was clean and tidy as well as the bedding... I was put off by the lack of cleanliness with regard to the flooring. The sofa also did not have any throw cushions for under arm or lower back, which made it ufortable to sit on.
Sometimes the heater was a little too warm but better this than the other way around
Upon arrival we were given a smaller room, not the living space we booked.
It did take a little while for the hot water toe up, so plan accordingly but the bathroom was efficient and newly renovated.
The noise from the building sites beside the hotel constant Jack hammer type noise from 7am-5pm. Beds notfortable. Radiators constant noise sounding like showers.
the temperature control just plain didn t work. no in living space control. had to call down. guy came up with space heaters. at some point the heater started working and then it was too hot. we never had control of temp
The noise from construction. Be aware you are charged an extra fee of $250 in case there’s any damage you do get this back after check out. I was aware of this b

This is a gem! Great location, amazing customer service and unique place to be in NY!
There were free of cost bagels within the morning, the employees was very friendly, didn t have to worry about loosing the key because you could leave it at the Inn. The rooms were what we expected them to be. It was clean.
Very homely feeling and very central but not noisy. We were made very wee by the employees here and one employees member, Jim, gave my son cookies while we were there and allowed him to play the old piano, making my son feel at ease. Someone was always available for advice on places to go. This is predominantly a property for military employees and everyone we met was so proud and courteous and we wouldn’t hesitate to go there again if we visit New York.
The hotel is very well located in Manhattan, approximately 15min walk from Times square. The employees was super nice and weing! They gave us very good addresses, tips and advices for NYC, a BIG THANK YOU to them!Waterfountains are available on each floor and there s also a kitchen with a fridge on the first floor that you can use. I would definitely rmend this place!
Location and coffee
The staff, most of whom are volunteers, are very friendly and helpful. The location is great.
Good location, nice rooms, reasonable price, helpful staff.

coffee and bagels
Weird and wonderful with lots of history and THE best bagels I ve ever had. A little run down, but employees and ambience delightful. An experience!
Very good location, employees helpful
The employees was awseome
Great location, great staff. Very helpful.
👎 I stayed in a twin room. The mattress’s on the two beds were the worst I have ever slept on. need for it. The washing facilities were not up to standard and segregated into male and female. There is no lift facility to carry luggage upstairs. Ok if you are young but not if you are of the older generation. Being ex Navy I had anticipated a better standard and was disappointed at the condition of the premises.
Sharing showers and bathroom is not my favorite, but they were very clean!
There was an extra bed in our living space so had to squeeze a little more than we wanted.
We understand that this is an old building and so there was no lift, however, we were allowed to use the stair lift to get our heavy bags to the third floor! Ingenious ! It really didn’t spoil our time there, we were quite sad to leave.
The AC was a little bit noisy and we couldn t open the window.
Never ever go thereThis is a place that needs to be avoided. It has nothing to do with a hotel. Although they advertise on . this is a very low budget hostel. As my booking was cancelled by ., I made a direct deal with the hotel. On arrival, the tragedy starts immediately. Ms. Jessica at the reception is talented in destroying your good holiday mood with 90 seconds. Independent what has been agreed by phone, she asks immediately $50 more than agreed. It is unclear to me whether the $50 extra is for the hotel of for Jessica although I expect the latter. The rooms are really small, indeed 8m2 and dirty. Mattresses seem to be at least 20 years old and smell like hell. Sleeping in Central Park is a better option than on those mattresses. Towels for the shared shower are same age as the bedlinen and measure the size of a tea towel. Breakfast, being served as of 0700 hours, did not arrive at 7.45 hours. This is really a horrible place with employees that can not be trusted and should be avoided by everyone. And sleeping 150 night per annum in hotel, I believe I have some experience. Anything positive?, the coffee was ok, and so the location.
It was a hike from our living space to the restrooms, which are shared. They are dormitory-style.
We could choose either suffering from high temperatures within the living space with closed window or getting deaf by very noisy air con or by noisy street with the window open.
Received an email stating I could check in at 8am only to find out that the hotel wouldn’t allow it. The employees member stayed on a individual call for ten minutes before giving me this information and continued to say we might not even have a living space we paid for due to over booking with .. Luckily the latter was not the case.
Apparently there are issues between hotel and bookings. about how many people have booked how many rooms beds. Should be clarified!!!!! We were lucky and got a living space as we had booked and paid for via bookings., but apparently they were short on rooms and only got info about bookings very late and had already made bookings with customers of their own. So, bookings. and SSMCA please work this out!Could do with a little support work, would improve the overall impression.
Sometimes heating didnt work and it was cold within the room. Too dim light within the room.
The heating was making very high pitched noises throughout the entire night, making it close to impossible to sleep. Tried to turn it off but not possible.
The beds, bathrooms, insufficient A C, hu
