CBD Hotel Newcastle - Main photo

CBD Hotel Newcastle

471 Hunter Street

👍 The morning meal was the highlight. The location was good as it was close to the CBD. The bed wasfy Excellent breaksfast! Worth the price. The rooms are quiet andfortable The free of cost morning meal with the living space was the best part. The fridge and sink within the living space was nice as well. And I thought the shared bathroom was everybody shared but was pleasantly surprised to know the females have their own bathroom and so do the males. The veggie morning meal was really fantasticThe living space had air con and was quiet for a weekendlinen was clean andfortable Cheap for area, less facilities as expected as hotel, easy access to where I needed to be, excellent morning meal option included in cost. The shower the tiles were lifting I could of cut my foot, it smelled like urine walking up into the living space . I paid $165 it was very expensive for what the living space was like . Location right next to light rail. Hot cooked Breakfast was awesome andplementary with stay. Bathrooms were clean. Staff lovely. The employees were friendly and aodating, the check in check out procedure was super easy. Sheets were clean the pub part itself has been downsized unlike the historical version that would have gone all the way through from king to Hunter streets, but is nice. Drinks ok. Didn’t eat. thing. The living space was dingey, facilities were abysmal. Carpets were old, entrance to hotel was creepy through a back alley, past the kirchens . Location was good.Breakfast provided was really nice. Really quiet and good price. I will definately go there again for short short trip with my friend. But if it s for couple, take consideraton of another choice. The living space was neat and clean. Didn t use the air con wasn t needed. Enough tea bags and milk for the duration of my stay. Loved that morning meal wasplimentory. Full morning meal not just toast and cereal. Shared bathroom was a bit dated. But nice hot shower each time. Easy to locate and very much an older style hotel attached to a pub that s been renovated. Staff were great and the free of cost morning meal menu had a fair few different options to choose from. Easy to locate and very much an older style hotel attached to a pub that s been renovated. Staff were great and the free of cost morning meal menu had a fair few different options to choose from. Comfortable bed Location location was central, and morning meal was included, but not the coffee or tea? t much. The beds werefy and the towels were a decent size. Breakfast was great, I had full English with apple juice to drink. Had to buy a pot of tea for 4 dollars, it was a big pot for the price. employees were friendly and very helpful. nice and cumfy clean bed, facilities in living space good. There s plenty of food places around if you don t eat here. Location is great thing was good about this property. The worst place I have ever stayed in my life! The location was good and the free of cost morning meal was exceptional included eggs Benedict and big breakfast. Very clean indeed. Friendly helpful staff. issues too hard. Just ask and they’ll help as best they can. Rooms nice and solidly built. So very quiet Absolutely nothing Was close to the location of the function I attended The living space is adequate for a one-night stay, the bed isfy and the location is pretty central The location was good Comfortable Bed. 👎 The entrance to the living space was, if nothing else, appalling - it felt like something from a developing nation. I had no bathmat and no face washer - simply a towel. Warnings everywhere about not having the bathroom door open whilst showering. The employees was not friendly, there’s a dark alley behind the kitchen to enter the motel, very creepy. The living space was small with a weird smell, no internet, the bathroom in need of renovations. The view was a wall. A bit expensive to be on what it looked like a murder motel. I don’t rend at all... The shared toilets were not too clean. The check-in was supposed to be until 8:00 pm but we received several calls to arrive earlier. The living space was very small and the laneway you have to walk down to get to the hotel rooms is dismal. It is a safety disaster waiting to happen they need to fix that up as soon as possible The original entrance on Hunter street is closed. Entrance to the rooms is via a rather unsavoury tunnelway beneath electrical fittings and past the kitchen windowsnot a fun experience at night. One of the bathroom shower fittings needed repairs Walking down dark alley to access amodation and when raining getting wet despite some cover above. Light above in living space sink didn t work, half of the curtain didn t have eyelet hooks so fell down when pulled across. Main entrance is closed, so you had to walk down back service lane and up stairs, both of which were unkept and dangerous. On the way too the living space you have to walk past the back of the kitchen our living space was virtually on high of the walk way and the whole area smelled like dirty dishwater. The living space smelt really badly of bleach when we walked in. The tiles within the shower were extremely loose because all the grout had fallen out of them. The pillows were really flat and we both woke up with sore achy necks within the morning, the living space was dark and there were all these marks all over the wall where they ve ripped out the bed side light fittings and put new ones in that are both different. The shower light and fan would turn on automatically when you opened the door and not turn off so when you got up within the middle of the night to use the bathroom you d have to wait for the light and fan to turn off before you could go back to sleep. The entrance on hunter street waspletely boarded up, location should really be listed as the king street carpark location, also the parking was super limited. When we arrived there were all these people hanging around near the dumpsters doing god knows what because there was a couch and a bench left out there that clearly needed to be taken too the tip. I really feel like my cash would have gone alot further elsewhere. The entrance is listed as hunter street when it’s king street, Junkies at the gate shooting up, dark dingy alley to get to unstable old aodation.t worth almost $200! For three people I can get a really really nice place in Sydney for that so that’s a disappointment for a backpacker style set up with shared bathroom The entire experience was unpleasant I understood the rooms were very basic but didn t expect mine to be that small. Just enough living space to walk around the queen size bed. Had a TV, fridge and aircon as advertised. I understood the rooms were very basic but didn t expect mine to be that small.
